We have yet to make the cg a fortress with nearly half a season gone we better get our skates on.

should be a good game today, preston like to attack so hopefully will suit us, hopefully we don't miss all the cbs that are out and now wba an villa drew thanks to another handball just like us we can go 4th with a win maybe 3rd if boro drop pts.

I got a slap asking the lady in the bakers if she could show me her baps? Got another one for correcting myself and asking why she had a cob on? Then asked for a morning roll and her hubby got really angry so bang went my chance of a really good muffin and I had to scuffler out the shop because it was all getting very barmy. Went home without my tea cake shouting oggie oggie, more more more!

07 Dec 2018 15:34:28
If Watson is involved. ie on the bench. That would suggest that Colback, Yacob and Geddy will all be in the team.
I can only assume it means Geddy alongside Hef in defence.
Keeps Robbo at left back so perhaps not a bad idea.

Tap, I have a Forest cushion that would warm the bench so there would be no need for Watson to be a bench warmer. 😊

Colback might be playing left back

Agree2 0Disagree

08 Dec 2018 09:47:10
Watson is a solid pro albeit his legs have gone chasing high tempo in midfield. He had a very good game at Boro and would be a good leader playing the ball out from centre back if AK decides to deploy him there in the Fox role. I fancy him over Geddie in this role, but the chances are it will be Robbo and Ossie against PNE.
.

Agree2 1Disagree

08 Dec 2018 10:31:21
Watson is a solid pro alright, so solid he weighs down the rest of the team, one good game in five is not good enough.

The new director of football certainly has an impressive CV. Surely that now gives us a full compliment regarding management and coaching staff. Marinakis is meticulous in his reorganisation of this great club. I really feel we are on the brink of creating something truly special after being poorly run for so long. UR's.

A friend of mine who is a regular at the cg asked me if I've noticed that after the start of the game the ball is always kicked out of play after 30 seconds is this a betting thing ?i will watch again on saturday to confirm what he says.

I can see 25K forest fans having a bet on that tomorrow, that'll attract some attention.

Apparently Gerrard is prepared to block a possible attempt to recall Worrall. Surely he has no power to dictate terms to the parent club. Maybe he should be made to grovel on bended knee for the honour of retaining the services of our employee for a little longer!

Believable4 0Unbelievable

05 Dec 2018 18:29:41
That shows Gerrard has as much of a clue about the loan agreement as our manager.
Like you say, if the loan agreement states we can recall him then he has no say in it.
I would say though if we could have recalled him and the manager wanted to it would have happened by now.

Agree3 0Disagree

05 Dec 2018 19:48:02

Agree0 0Disagree

05 Dec 2018 22:17:09

If it is in the terms we can recall January but not immediately on a full season loan (below)

"55.1.2:any recall clause requiring the early termination of a Standard Loan can only be included in a full Season Standard Loan and this can only be activated during the Winter Transfer Window;"

Agree0 0Disagree

06 Dec 2018 12:26:35
Red Cyclist. You're Hired.
Mr Taylor and his motley crew spend too much time on twitter to actually do any journalism and report facts!

As for Gerrard he is just playing to the gallery!
As for Worrall the A Team should all be back and fit by January so he is not going to get a game by coming home?
We have a good enough squad to cope with the injuries and beat whoever we face!
Onward & Upward

Agree1 0Disagree

06 Dec 2018 12:39:30
Haha

I thought I'd posted it. The rules also state that the loan termination has to be mutually agreed. That means they can block it. A bit like the Northern Ireland backstop lol

Agree1 0Disagree

Believable0 0Unbelievable

As a general rule, Grade 1 hamstring strains should be rested from sporting activity for about three weeks and Grade 2 injuries for a minimum of four to eight weeks.

03 Dec 2018 23:37:55
Is all this criticism Worrall gets justified? he was in an awful team zero protection from midfield, mancienne as a partner and silent Smith behind him what chance did the young lad stand I think he would thrive in this side.

Believable18 0Unbelievable

04 Dec 2018 08:20:11
He's below par, just like Brereton and Walker. A liability.

Agree6 16Disagree

04 Dec 2018 08:40:50
And what can you use to make that opinion he hasn't had a chance in good side any defender would of looked bad in that defence is my point one man can't make a defence

Agree12 0Disagree

04 Dec 2018 09:57:58
A defender is there to defend the goal, what side he's in is totally irrelevant. Yes in a poorer side he may have to do more defending, but it's still defending and Worrall is just an old school, head it and hit it. He's a liability at the back, his anticipation is poor, always seems 1 second or 2 behind the game. Just like pants, if he's bought back, he will cost us goals and maybe promotion.

Agree3 14Disagree

04 Dec 2018 10:02:15
If anything, a defender in a poor team has the chance to shine, be the one to step up and show class, Worrall never did that.

Agree2 11Disagree

04 Dec 2018 10:26:52
Gazza

Absolute rubbish!!!

Poor JW had a useless CH partner and two poor fullbacks and a keeper who didn’t communicate. On top of that he had two useless central midfielders.

What chance did the lad have??!!!!!

Be real. . He needed to come into a good side, a bit like Dawson did when he started alongside Des Walker with Crossley behind him.

Agree9 1Disagree

04 Dec 2018 11:12:30
Fox looked bad for three seasons trying to play centre back, all of a sudden a world beaterthis season?πŸ€”
The defence never had the likes of colback Watson geddy or Jacob in front of them.
Worrall will be class and a future captain.
Only as good as the players around you,it's a team game not about individuals

Agree9 3Disagree

04 Dec 2018 11:26:33
Ahh echoes of how good Brereton once was in some peoples eyes and how much of a travesty it was that we sold him. 7m doesn't look so bad now though does it. Worrall is no different, he's never shown anything to suggest he's ever going to be any other than a mediocre championship defender. People just have a blinkered vision on home grown players.

Agree6 11Disagree

04 Dec 2018 12:24:07
Ok gazza what should we do with appiah?
Sell him quick, because according to some,if they are home grown then they are only ever going to be average at best?
England think different of Worrall and he didn't do too badly.
Too early to write off brereton yet, don't think he made a good career move there.

Agree7 1Disagree

04 Dec 2018 13:35:53
I think GazzaRed must've found Joe Worrall in bed with Mrs GazzaRed.

IMHO

Agree5 2Disagree

04 Dec 2018 13:39:04
Surely this is an opportunity for an under 23 player to be on the bench. Good experience. Don't forget, Colback can play at left back as well.

Agree0 0Disagree

04 Dec 2018 14:09:41
Worrall is ok and in my opinion is a very good player. Working with Hefele and Robinson beside him to keep him in tune with what he needs to do will be a good prospect. Some of you are forgetting he was made England U21 Captain. You don't get that recognition unless you are a good player. As long as the price was low buying back Olly Burke is a no-brainer; he can terrify defences.

Agree2 1Disagree

04 Dec 2018 14:25:26
Personally Worrall would have learned more staying here and learning in training from Dawson,he'd have had a chance to get the team at some point.

Agree2 2Disagree

04 Dec 2018 16:15:32
FF799, I'd say it all depends how much first team action he gets at Rangers. If he plays but was 5th choice here then maybe not. I do like the idea of Dawson mentoring him, either second half of this season or next season in the Prem.

Agree with the sentiment above. He hasn't just Captained England under 21s. He has captained an England under 21 trophy winning team hasn't he? Fantastic prospect and red through and through. His detractors are full of bovine excreta.

Agree5 1Disagree

04 Dec 2018 16:25:10
When Dawson's not injured, of course.

Agree1 0Disagree

04 Dec 2018 16:28:31
Sorry Gazza can't disagree more defence is a unit if your partner is out of position your passed round easily if your left and right back are beaten time and again you can't defend cross after cross find your comment amazing why don't we just play one at the back then and have more attacking players if that's the case

Agree3 0Disagree

04 Dec 2018 16:47:42
Just to be clear, Fox played as a left back but always had decent games when asked to cover at CB. Worral would not have got a look in if he stayed here this year, best thing to loan him out.

I remember a young John Terry coming to us for a season, it will do Worral a world of good.

Agree4 1Disagree

04 Dec 2018 19:51:38
Appiah actually has some quality. When Worralls back in the team and he's being a calamity and you're all slating him,I'll be the one saying I told you so

Agree4 5Disagree

04 Dec 2018 20:31:48
We can all be wrong though gazza, look at Darikwa, totally different player this season, magnificent on Saturday, great shot for the first and great delivery for the last, but his defending has improved dramatically as well.
It's not always how good you are,but about the confidence the team has and how they perform as a unit.
Appiah obviously is a talent,he plays for England and performs on that stage,so did Worrall and was a winner in the process,so they can see the talent, maybe that should be taken on board???

Agree4 1Disagree

05 Dec 2018 06:59:06
Michael mancienne played for England.

Agree2 1Disagree

05 Dec 2018 18:12:28
Give it up, GazzaRed. You're writing off a 21yo centre-half who has shown promise and it's foolish.

Even if he does turn out to be an average Championship defender, I'd rather have him here as 3rd or 4th choice than some overpaid foreign mercenary.

Lascelles is an excellent comparison. Showed good promise but never really excelled in the Forest first team on a consistent basis and no one moaned too much when he moved on to Newcastle. In his first season at Newcastle he wasn't regular and they were relegated. A few years on, he's back in the Prem and one of the first names on the turn sheet. Patience is required, especially with young defenders. Even more so if they're one of your own.

Pantimilon can beclme a cult hero for sure. A clown status who despite his awful failings could be part of a promotion winning team. As for the others you mention RIE I won't change my opinion on the 3 amigos. Carvalho is getting better every game but is still not worth 13.5 mil. Dias and gonclaves banh average. but on a positive note the team has bonded so well and in Lolley and colback we have prem players. Graban is doing the difficult thing easily, banging in the gifts. I was a Karanka doubter, but admit I was wrong. His determination has shone through. Maybe it eas the threat from marikinakis who knows. But he is starting to change things at home too and FF79 predicted well in that geddy would come in for Yacob and Hef for Figs. so pleasantly surprised by the unity in this team and Karanka should take a bow. Defeat is not taken lightly.

Agree6 7Disagree

02 Dec 2018 16:09:14
Pants came off his line more yesterday and commanded his area well so looks like the issue has been adressed and he is working on his positioning.
On a separate note Grabben seems to have got over his early new club wobble and has 14 goals from 20 games. With those stats I.e. 106 minutes between goals you are looking at 32 for the season should it continue. . Just let that sink in

Agree5 5Disagree

02 Dec 2018 16:57:59
Reddog- pants should have been working on his positioning years ago, the fact is he’s not good enough and probably never will be. I’m sure he’s a good bloke but he is now the weakest link in this team by a mile and could cost us promotion.I hope I’m wrong, and it looks as if i was about Darikwa, but a new keeper in the January transfer window is a must.

Ff799 I watched the same game as you pal and saw the wayward passes that went out of play or to the opposition that could have put is in trouble.

Lol red dog,if you thought darikwa was poor, then there were about seven or eight others that were worst.
Good team performance and none played badly, especially darikwa and bear in mind that was 3 games in 8 days.
Best home performance of the season we went at them from the kick off.
He played one back pass that went astray, hardly constitutes lots of wayward passes does it.
