Just thought I would mention that the reserve goalkeeper on the bench last night against York City was an Aiden Grant who was previously on the books at Newcastle and Aston Villa. Also the reason the lad from Portugal did not sign was due to money.

I know you do Ed. i'm not too sure why though.

{Ed034's Note - his ability to turn full backs inside out, when he has got his back to them and willingness to run and stretch them, is a great asset to have.
His end products need improving and this comes with confidence, which the team did not have after January.
I know we all talk about his work rate, but I think that hides his other qualities.
For me, he's be a regular and should always have some sort of contribution every game, be it starting or coming off the bench

You cannot call Mackie! his work rate 2nd to non, and he will always cause problems in the box, he will be better playing under Pearce.

I have to agree BDT33 about Mackie, whi would drop for him Ed? Patterson has to be a cert, as do Reid, Lansbury and Vauhgan.

I agree with BDT33 and Van Morgan if all of our midfielders are fit Mackie will be on the bench at best, he just hasn't got the composure to play a telling pass or deliver a final ball, but can't fault the guy's effort but we need more to challenge for promotion, by the way I think Matty Fryatt and Chris Burke are outstanding signings, a midfield 4 of Burke, Reid, Vaughan and Lansbury is the best midfield we've had for a very long time certainly the best in the championship, coyr up and at em
