Looks like Lansbury on his way 3.5mil with add ons and has turned his nose up at new contract with us expected medical tomorrow looks like the temptation of the premier league is to Mutch

Is this from the daily fail cus that story doesn't seem very likely or have you hear this from somewhere else?

2.) 06 Aug 2014
If Lansbury goes we need to dig our heels in for at least 5m. Got 2years left on contract so no rush. Be hard to replace. If he went I'd get dorrans for
2/3m.
Why is it we sell players for less than their worth and then pay over odds for players we want. Time we played hardball.

Lansbury staying but wants promotional bonuses added to contract been offered.

4.) 07 Aug 2014
Sorry to see him go as a good player but if he wants to go then good bye and good luck. Maybe we would play with two central mids and two wingers and Britt upfront with Fryatt. That would be some team. Darlow, lichaj, Hobbs, Mancienne, Cohen, Burke, Vaughan/Osborn, Reid, Antonio, Britt, Fryatt. Subs DeVriis, Lescelles, Osborn/Grant, Fox, Lars, Patterson, Mclaughlin

It doesn't make sense to me why Lansbury wants to go to burnley for prem football when the chances are we'll have it next year and they won't?!

{Ed034's Note - because it's very arrogant to say we are going to be in the prem next season while they won't be.
They are in it now

6.) 07 Aug 2014
Personally I think if Lansbury joins Burnley it shows his level of mentality, Pearce has already said that he's told Lansbury to prove he's worth a better deal, seems like Lansbury wants to take the easy way out. Should prove what he's first first part of season and if no better deal comes look to move on in January and probably attract better clubs then Burnley.

{Ed034's Note - you cant blame him for wanting to play premier league

7.) 07 Aug 2014
Very true Ed - as they say - 'There is many a slip between cup and lip'.

8.) 07 Aug 2014
Arrogant. . but true. you Reds

9.) 07 Aug 2014
Ed I didn't say it will definitely happen but can you realistically see burnley staying up? Just seems a bit strange to me is all

{Ed034's Note - he has one season in the prem where he plays well and he will be a prem player for the rest of his career. I can fully understand him wanting to do it and I expect him to go

10.) 07 Aug 2014
Ed don't blame him for wanting to play premier league just think he should be aiming higher and presuming he wants to try and get back into International fold he needs to be aiming for a top 10 team in my opinion (he's good enough on his day)

{Ed034's Note - what better way of proving to top ten sides he is good enough to play for them, than doing it in the premier league??

11.) 07 Aug 2014
He's undoubtedly one of our best players but if he wants to go then we should let him, it makes sense to me as at least he will get a game for Burnley where he may not in a better premiership team. I just hope we squeeze as much money out of them as possible, even if it means waiting till the end of the window and planning life without him in the side now. He's certainly not irreplaceable and doesn’t have a great record with injuries so if we can get 4-5 mill I'd let him go.

12.) 07 Aug 2014
If he wants to go, we need to let him go. I'll be sad losing him, but if his mind is set for prem fotball, that's that. Just need to get the right money for him, at least 5 mill with adds on.

Bye the way, why keep bringing Dorrans up, he has just signed a new contract at WBA and plays every time.

Looking forward to Saturday, bring on the season, GO REDS!

I hear that our Henri is not the brightest button in the box? Does he actually know where Burnley is and the fact that they do not do posh names around that part of the world?
The only bright lights are on the M65 and Boundary Mills at Colne!

14.) 07 Aug 2014
You can't blame him for wanting to play in the prem, so if he wants to go, then let him. I agree we need to get a good price for him, so its a shame more than 1 club isn't interested, so we could play one off against another. We've done all we can to keep him by offering a new contract. From memory, we only paid £1m for him, so the £3.5m rumored would be a good return, but shy of what most of us think he's worth.

15.) 07 Aug 2014
Too soon for premiership I think for Henri, He has the quality but not sure about the mental attitude, don't forget its not Henri that has said no to the new contract its his agent trying to get more money. If Henri has another good year in the championship with 10+ goals and assists and if he can stay injury free. then he would be in the 10mill+ bracket and have the top sdes looking, he's still very young and not the full packge yet, but is very very good non the less

Burnley have a good manager in SD, IMO & they have a good team spirit & forwards that score so there is a chance they will stay up, I fully expect them to struggle but there are another 10 or so teams in the Premiership that could just as easily be relegated. Good luck to him if he goes, the draw of playing at Old Trafford, Anfield, The Emerates etc. , is certainly appealing to any young player, add in the increased wages & bonuses & its very hard to turn down. I know it may be only for one season but as the saying goes, Better to live one day as a Lion than live your whole life as a Lamb.
