Villa want 1.5 million, not sure how we get around that due to embargo, not sure if he will come on loan with an agreed fee to be settled in the summer once the embargo is lifted.

Pretty sure he only has 6 months left on his contract? Free agent in the summer so surely they would want a loan fee that would put us out the running for him?

Either way, if we get him he would make a real difference to our team! Lansbury going the other way on the cheap maybe? Who knows?

Yeah actually I remember now. I think under FFP we can pay loanees wages but no fee that's why Ben Hamer fell through in the summer because we paid a £250k loan fee or something? So villa will have to loan him on a wages only basis unless we do them a favour in return like throwing in a player in a swap deal. Haha.

I reckon if they were in for Lansbury we could value him at 4.5m (way overpriced at that) and get Gardner in for 3m so Gardner and 1.5m for Lansbury? That's what I'd do on football manager anyway! Haha.
