Pillinos is not fit to start the season, he will act as cover on cheap wages if accepted.

Fox will be used as centre back/ cover due to possible transfer outs by mills and Mancienne .

Full strength defence (not in my opinion but in PM opunion) :
lichaj MANCIENNE LAM PINILLOS

would like LICHAJ sold for a highish fee due to his long contract. Was hoping traore could play right back but may play pereira there.

I'd go for: PEREIRA MANCIENNE MILLS PINILLOS as full strength.

HFTF - Lam and Mancienne are both "covering" Centre Backs. You can't play them both together. Defensive pairings always have a Hobbs/ Mills/ Perquis as the "Stopper".

Just hope for all our sakes that Pinillos isn't out for too long with his knee.

Definitely expect a few faces to be shown the door. Seems to me PM is very much getting the squad together that he wants rather than tweak what's already there. But risky having a new defence to try and gel only days before the season starts?

Lots of talk of Mills and Mancienne being offered out to other clubs to cut costs/ cash in, so difficult for HFTF to claim Mance is PM's first choice.

I really hope mancienne doesn't leave, best defender we have IMO, would be a big mistake. Troare is a good signing for free but why do we need him. Fox, pinillos, Cohen can play left back and now troare. Seems a bit excessive when we're talking about getting rid of one or two centre backs to balance the books.

3 at the back would be such a gamble - not to say I wouldn't like to see it tried however. I'd be surprised not to see us actually play with wingers as we've not tried that shape all pre-season and both Osborne and Burke have played well there.

If Antonis, our Greek informant, is right then we're looking at someone now who can play upfront/ on the wing.
