Calm down NFFC73, try saying something positive, it's getting boring now. Dorus leaving isn't the end of the world, gives other's a chance and I wouldn't be surprised in we bring a GK in now.

Unfortunately Players hold all of the power nowadays, especially those in the final year of their contracts. DDV obviously wants to go to Celtic and join up with Brenda. Good luck to him and we move on. Henderson would have been understudy to DDV this season no doubt but now he has an opportunity to make the number 1 spot his own. At least he will play the majority of the games and get some vital experience NOW. We could have been in the position of DDV leaving on a free next summer and Henderson having to step up having played relatively few games. At least we were proactive in getting another keeper in BEFORE DDV left. Hendo just needs a few games to settle in .

We are set to approach Newcastle on bringing back Karl Darlow to the city ground for a transfer fee of 1.5 million after the sale of DDV to Celtic.

Would not want Darlow back unless he has improved. We now have a director of football and he will know where the decent replacements are.
Talk about spin, some of you lot would make good journalists. When Fawaz was talking about keeping hold of our better players, he was clearly talking about Burke and Assombalonga.
DDF has instigated this move, encouraged by his old boss, Fawaz will have had nothing to do with it.
All parties very quiet on the Lansbury front though.

I feel if we were able to spend £1-5m on a goalkeeper we would have got someone better than Vellious in.

Vellious is decent technically, and is good in other areas, but for just over £2m we could have got better than him.

Unless he just needs to settle in, he is just Blackstock mk2.

Darlow? That would be awesome eh? Newcastle have that Belgium lad now as 2nd keeper so I guess he is down the pecking order. Would love to see him back.

I say good luck to the fella. Was really good last season for which I thank him for. Getting on so fair do's. Be sorry to see him go but onward and upwards. I am sure Henderson will prove to be a decent replacement.

Might be a weak league but he's moving to a bigger club (no offense) with the chance of champions league football. No brainer even tho a don't want him.

It shows how far we have fallen that we are mourning the loss of De Vries. Average Championship keeper. Did well at the start of last season but cost us a lot of goals in the last two thirds of it. Would snap your hand off at Darlow coming back, a much much better keeper. Shows how poor we were last year for DDV to win POTY.
