Just read that Sunderland have made a bid for O. Burke said to be around £8 mil. Any thoughts on that?

Yes I do actually. I have a thought about the premier league's money fantasy world and where they can stick it. We may need money but we simply cannot sell our brightest prospect year after bloody year!

You have to ask yourself, what are these guys doing for their money at their clubs? . Surely they can unearth their own talent!

Burke is the brightest talent to come out of the youth setup for a while. Yeah we've had Walker, but as yet he's not lit the blue touch paper in his forest career (still time though! ) . Burke offers Forest what we've been missing for far too long; that someone with a bit of muscle about him that has bags of pace and skill, and that the opposition don't just brush aside when he runs with the ball. Too many of our players are lightweight and too easily bullied off the ball.

You'd have thought so wouldn't you rogie. Well I have news. The best talent is found in the lower leagues. The genuin blood thirsty for the game not just the girls and limos! We have a terrific academy that should be our model for success. It has produced one future superstar in Oliver Burke already. And he will be a superstar, heard it hear first, don't like putting too much pressure on but he'like be on Par with bale standard by 24/ 5.

True HTF. I've yet to see an Academy to match ours ATM. great to see the other young players starting to make their mark.

Wow, talk about over inflated opinions! Let's not get ahead of ourselves lads, as much as I personally wouldn't want to sell Oli, £8m is a lot of money and this day in age every player is 1 bad season or 1 injury away from disappearing.

Like I said I hope he stays and continues to impress but he has had as many good games as pato 2 years ago when everyone went mad over him and look where he is in his career now, most of you would have put him down like an old race horse until he scored the other night!

Well said herefortheforest more hunger in lower leagues and burke simply must stay.

You all know he will leave and get loaned back for about 9 million, it's the way we work. Poor decisions are our forte.

Gareth Bale. Lol 😂.

If we are going to get in the habit of selling our best players Britt/ Burke etc then we should start putting on an extra £10 million on their heads the Premiership is awash with money, else we will never go up!

easy worth 10 million in todays market.

Has anyone noticed that this season we are a buying not a selling club? Therefore can we have a more positive change to the posts on who else we should be signing rather providing ammo for the red tops?

I know a lot is said about contracts not being worth the paper they're written on but let's not forget Burke signed a 4 year deal in February! Which says a couple of things, Burke must be relatively happy at the club because there has been interest in him for awhile even before he signed. Also the club are putting themselves in a good position for what will likely be "when" he leaves to get a good price. Personally I think he will stay this season but likely move on next summer. COYR.

RedinExile
This season we have only bought Vellios
If these free transfers turn out to be any good we may have the
right manager
So not a buying club or a selling club Yet.

So 1978 paying a new player money to sign a permanent contract is not buying a player? We have released a load of out of contract players and only sold De Vries and taken one on loan if I am not mistaken?

That's a buying club in my book!
