Rumour has it that if Rowett becomes our new manager he wants to keep Lansbury. If this helps us to stay in the Championship it might be worth losing the £3 million transfer fee when he goes in the summer for free.

Doesn't make any sense, I'd rather sell him now, 3m is great money, I'd have taken that for him even if he wasn't out of contract in summer. On another note if we offer him a new contract he wants 40k a week. Again He's not even value for money at the current 30k a week he's on. Get rid! His heart clearly isn't with forest anyway. He's only started playing decent recently to put himself in the shop window.

If the fabric of the club and management structure fundamentally changes he might want to stay? If all he is after is a payrise (we've all done it) then we may as well sell and get something back. Time will tell.

If I was rowat. I'd say to Lansbury sign one year extension on same money he's on now and if he doesn't like the direction clubs going in come summer. The agree to sell him. Might even get more money for him. Or get villa to part with Gardner plus 2m.

I understand Wazza 1210 being sceptical of the news about Rowett's comments on Henri, but it is a quote from him on 'NewsNow'. It IS what he said. He was thinking of buying him when he was at Birmingham, and is a fan. If he was to take over at Forest, he would block a transfer. So it's a matter of sorting out the believable stuff from the unbelievable, eh Wazza?
