I hear Ben Osborn's Dad has taken to twitter to warn us 'that we will miss him when he has gone. '

Much as I like young Ben and believe he has a bright further in the game, I don't think Forest would miss him if he went. If we got the £4 million being touted I would again think that good business.

Ben's greatest asset is his fitness, he will run forever. In a game he will cover every blade of grass. When though was the last time you saw Ben go into a tackle and come out with the ball? When did you see him burst from midfield to start an attack or thread a ball through for another forward to score?

In an era when James Milner has over 70 England caps, I guess just being fit is good enough. Or maybe that is what is wrong with England too. Good professional fit players who do nothing but run around.

Benny if you do leave, do yourself a favour, spend a few training sessions watching what David Vaughan does when his ageing legs get him into the action areas. You still have a lot to learn son and if your Dad thinks otherwise he is giving you bad advice.

Tony Woodcock went to Lincoln on loan once upon a time, realised how well off he was at Forest and came back a far better person and player.

My feelings exactly, Ben has no end product, a cross, pace to beat a man, a through ball, a finish. His pass completion stats are very good because he is world class at passing the ball to the left back!

He'll still be first on the team sheet on Saturday wether we like it or not
But the match day squad picks itself because he won't play any of the loan players so if we do drop him it's who we bring in for him
Bit confused about manciene cus he'll be on the bench and if we get an injury in defence he'd have to come on thus opening the clause in his contract, are we sure he has an option in his contract that stated yesterday?

If Ben Osborn is going to the Premiership the minimum fee is £10m for a squad player!

I think he would shine with better players around him but he still will not score enough goals, move the ball quickly enough and get bullied in the centre of the park to be a top class player.

He is not our new Andy Reid and never will be!

I don't agree with any of this at all. Osborn is one of the players we should base the next Forest team around. We will miss him badly if he goes, and he will succeed elsewhere, despite all the banal and silly comments on Twitter etc.

Bsered- I hope you've included those silly comments that apparently came from his father?

If he's not playing centrally he shouldn't be in the team. Never been a wide player never will be.

Osborn is our top assister this season and has created the most chances of anyone in the squad.
People moaning about him not passing forwards (his stats are 50% forward) but if there's no players to pass to in space you play the way your facing.

Stats can hide a lot of things. He may well have stats of 50 per cent forward but that doesn't show how difficult or creative the pass was. The goalkeeper probably has a near 100 per cent forward pass rate but it doesn't make him the next iniesta!

On Osborn playing centrally you either have to be very gifted with that stature or have a nasty streak or a bit of both.
In this day of modern football it is near impossible not to get suspended playing in midfield, but he dosent because he dosent do 50/ 50 challenges.
So therefore dose not get booked and he hasn't got the ability to split defences and is not exactly a goal threat so to me only one place in the side at the moment and that's left wing.
The great robbo thought he was a central midfielder till cloughy told him different and the rest is history
So unless he can add a goal threat or a nasty streak can't see him progressing.

If he was good at geometry he would be a world beater. It cannot be everyone else's fault if he cannot play a striker in?
