To some this is a none story, but as yet has mileage. Some years ago 1973 to be exact a personal friend of mine was involved with the proceedings of a match on the 8th October at the Baseball ground, between Derby v Sunderland in the League cup. I was present with a work mate who was nuts about Derby, me solid Forest. Derby scored 2 first half goals and played Sunderland of the park. At The start of the second half out came Sunderland but Derby took the field late. As the half ticked by it was evident something was different as Sunderland took total control and scored two second half goals and Derby were lucky to get a draw, half way through the half I said to my mate that something has gone off. Seeing my personal friend days later I asked what the hell had gone off, he said at half time one hell of a ding dong but I dare not say otherwise I, am for it. Clough at this time was at odds with Longson who had Offered Clough and Taylor more money to stay. On 13 October Derby played Man. Utd away and two days later both of them had left. To this day my friend will not say what went on but believe me he said it was explosive. One day he will say. As their are still people around, who are still around its no dice. Involved that night were two ex forest players Newton and Hinton and two future players McGovern and Gemmill. I push as hard as I dare.

Maybe they just had a crappy second half and he's been pulling your todger for the past 1000 years, as a Derby fan would. The Reds have been a different team either side of half time all season.
