I have heard from a current youth team player that Middlesborough have been in touch about Britt Assombolonga for around £11 million which was refused.
Apparently they are that desperate for Britt they have said they won't pursue Connor Mahoney if we agree to sell Britt to them.

Let them go for Mahoney. He is only an average player. There are better wingers out there.

I agree, who do Middlesborough think they are, take the winger and we will keep Britt after all the Mahoney scored 4 goals last season which is nearly as many as the entire Middlesborough squad. Perfect fit! !

20 million to a premier league team and I think we should accept. There is no way we should sell him a team in the same league. Get Glenn Murray on the cheap and Richie Towell from Brighton also.

KTR seems to imply that part of the new regime's desire to involve fans and others in running the club, includes involving youth team players in confidential negotiations about the sale of first team players. Or perhaps not.
