With the interest in Britt from other clubs his head could be turned, especially if it's from the PL. The figures mentioned in the press toady are ridiculous,10 million? I am hoping the new owner and his team are not going to listen to any offers unless it starts at 15 million, Middlesbrough are quoting 20million for Gibson so stick a decent price on Britt and if he is going let's not get our pants pulled down! Having said all that I hope we can keep him, he's a banker for 20+ goals if he stays fit.

Does anyone else wonder perhaps why Brereton has signed. Could it be because Britt is off and he feels he has more chance of starting or perhaps Britt is staying and he feels we have more chance of reaching the prem with him. Clutching at straws but hope it is the latter.

No way sell to a championship rival, if a prem side comes in then it is upto britt if he going to want to go, don't even bother negotiating if the initial bid not 15m. Would love britt to stay and then see where we are in Jan.

Would anyone agree with a Britt for money and Leadbetter deal?

Not for me LR. Prolific strikers are gold dust mate.

Spot on 2 star. If we have any aspirations around being promoted (can't see MW settling for mid table mediocrity ) Britt has to stay.

With you both on that one.
When you have the real deal, you hold on tight.
Cheep imitations are plentiful.
Britt is the class act and along with clough we could actually suprise.
Defence a bit worried about? but maybe MW thinks he can sort from within.
On paper defenders look good so maybe its about organising them and not personnel.

FF, I don't think it's a capability with the defenders we have somehow they've just become an easy touch. Mancienne, Hobbs, Worral, could We buy better? Not sure about Mills always got a goal in him but similarly always got a gaff that leads to a goal against AS well.

2 star just a theory and totally agree, they haven't been nasty enough last season. all look good individuals at times so maybe just a case of gelling and organisation.
Lets hope so, then we'd be a force to reckon with.

Why are so many Forest fans obsessed with Grant Leadbiter. he is ok but is many other younger central midfielders and if Britt goes we need a decent striker! Though Brereton, Cummings and Velios could do the job but is risky as none proven but none had much real game time in this league.

Rascal couldn't agree more leadbetter at the end of his career and what has he achieved? not alot.
Over the hill for me.

Personally I would prefer to see Warburton go back in for some of his old Brentford lads as he had some class central/ defensive ball winning and box to box midfielders in his days there. He has just signed a new contract but Nick Yannaris (still at Brentford) is a class young player and if we are looking at more experienced lads then I think Diagouraga who worked with Warburton at Brentford and is now at Leeds (30 years old) would be as good bet as Leadbiter as is several years younger and Warburton knows how to get the best out of him.
Personally I can see Leadbiter being another Jonathan Greening at Forest. Younger, hungry players are what I think we need not over the hill journey men.
