Cummings says he knows there is competition for places, but with him being comfortable playing in any of the front three positions in a fluid 4-2-3-1 formation he is confident of getting in the team, although he prefers going straight down the middle of the park.

From what I have seen on YouTube he looks pretty mobile. We could perhaps see Assombalonga lead the line with McKay, Cummings and Clough behind as a 3 with Osborn and Cohen in the middle.

Having said that, if MW plays his favoured 4-3-3 then one of them drops out or Clough forms part of the 3 in a deeper role.

Why would you put our most creative and 2nd most creative player in this league last season in a defensive role? personally I don't think you could play those three in the team as there all small. lichaj, Osborn, clough, Cummings and McKay are all under 6ft depending on who plays left back who will mark the opposition for corners?
You would have to rotate them.

Comparing messi xavi and iniesta to McKay clough Osborn and Cummings, how my days. i know what your trying to say but Barcelona play passing football with pace and those players were/ are the very best at it. barca could get away with conceding goals as they know they will score more themselves. they also had busquets, puyol pique. spanish teams play football the way it should but in the champ the lesser gifted teams will put muscle out midfield if those all played.
Osborn was the 2nd most creative player last season in the whole of the championship so he is a must in a more advanced role not sitting in cm with Cohen. mckay and Cummings will not get as many assists as Osborn got last season combined this season.

I nevermentioned barcelona or a comparison of their players.
Archie gemmill was small and billy bremner, but they had a big heart.
My point was, you don't need to be 6 foot plus.
So hope that's another one of your rants over.

Those players worked because of the way they play. the championship is more physical than la liga.
If you look at my post the first part was a reply to you and the rest was a reply to the post above you who mentioned these players and Barca.
Iv not said you NEEDto be 6ft but you can't have half of your team below 6ft in this league.
