Looks like forest have had a £20m offer for Britt from Boro and are considering it. Offering Britt silly money in the process to try and get him to push the move on.

Boros bid is just below £15m according to the journo breaking the news. will be hard to turn down.

Where did the £20m figure come from? If it is true, what is there to think about?

All made up again no substance to it at all.
Nixon is an idiot.

Either way, Britt is leaving this us this summer. Massive shame and big boots to fill. However, every player has their price and the money is good for the long term vision for the club.

We must not sell to a Championship club, it's sods law he would score against us😀if he is going it has to be a Premium club to better himself a Championship side is just a sideways move, i hope he stays and helps us to promotion, at the end of the day i think the club and supporters deserve it after standing by him while injured 😎.

Standing by him whilst he was injured? he got injured playing for that same club and did he not score in that same game? it is the clubs duty to help a player back to fitness especially when that player got the injury trying to help us win a game. britt owes us nothing.

Some Boro fans are saying 15m for Britt is crazy money. They clearly don't know what a goal scoring machine he is when he's fit. If I was a Boro fan however, I would be very concerned about his injury history.

Cant see anyone paying 15 to 20 million for britt straight up with his past injuries taken into account and i can't see forest accepting so much and the rest based on appearances and promotions etc.
So I'm staying positive and beleive he will stay,

He's going, I think that much is obvious. Hopefully we'll get a minimum of £15m which would be a good price in my opinion.

Trying to look at it on the bright side; he's just come back from a major injury and may not even have fully recovered yet. He also does little else but score, I know that sounds daft but I'd rather have a system where more players can contribute to goals rather than relying on a 20+ goals-a-season striker. Relying on one player to get you goals can be a curse in itself, especially if he gets injured. Britt also struggles at times to lead the line as a No9, he's much better when playing as a two. His touch and hold up play is average and he can't play with his back to goal. Yes, he scores goals but doesn't contribute with interplay or assists.

Brereton, whilst still learning, has the potential to be a much better all-round forward than Britt and I'd rather lose Britt than Ben.

Good luck, Britt, just don't score on your return!

Fully expecting a dozen 'thumbs down' but hey ho. COYR.

i agree with wonky, forest are not doing
anything to stop the increasing speculation and
are probably hoping for a good deal no
matter who they sell him too.
The chairmen did say the club will make
difficult decisions and that enough was a
big enough hint. MW did not help matters by saying every player has a price instead of saying no britts not going anywhere when he should have said i want to get rid of the c**p 1st.

Great post wonkeyeyes.
Now no one will want him after that glowing reference.
Happy days.

It's £15 million up front and then rising to £20 million with add ons linked to promotion, scoring so many goals, future sell on.

Every player does have a price, that's a fact, that is not him being touted to the highest bidder. if someone bids silly money and offers big wages then they go.

They can't do anything about speculation and the crap that gets printed or posted about players, bids or links.

Uptheforest, I agree with you about the club standing by Britt, but the fans were hoping and praying he would be back to normal, showing that he was loved, unlike the clamour to get rid of Matty Fryatt when he had a bad injury, who is now nearly back to fitness and could come back to haunt us, i personally think Fryatt was a all round better team player than Britt, 😎.

I got slated recently for saying this but still feel he was big mates with Fawaz and was played even when not really ready, especially when Vellios was a better option due to form
Britt did us proud at the end but I do not feel that he can deliver for a full season without his niggles and injuries
We wrapped him up in cotton wool so 46 league games for title chasers will be a big ask
I just hope we spend the money wisely as I have sometimes regretted my season ticket over the last few years and hope me and my lad can soon have a season to remember.

I've been told it's up to £20m with add ons that they have offered. Nothing has been agreed or excepted yet by player or Forest. But yes, it looks like he will be gone by early next week.

Mystic.
You weren't on your way to Birmingham airport in a taxi when you heard this, by any chance? 😂😋😂😂.

No fraid not FF79 😂
Thats meant as up to £20m including the add ons, the papers are reporting £14m but I been told the offer (which has not been excepted yet! ) is around £16-17m with add ons for goals and promotion so total figure we could end up with is nearly £20m.

Also wages aren't £60k a week, its £40k a week and they haven't got to contract talks yet as they haven't spoke to the player (although his agent might have)

Also I did post this a couple of hours before the sun reported it if you check the times, so it shows the person I am speaking to knows what's going on to an extent.
