I don't know much about him other than what I've read but the Nottingham links make him an obvious rumour plus he was supposedly being used by Burnley to sweeten any deal they attempted for Britt. I know a few seasons back he was being linked with a lot of premier league teams. Everton, West ham, West Brom, Leicester and even Man U at one point.

Brit to boro was reported on a number of online publications at the same time you reported on here; Bouchalakis was obviously going to sign a loan deal; grant to county was the most blatantly obvious thing that could've happened - anyone could've said that, it made perfect sense.

What I wouldn't do I damn anyone who posts on here but please don't have a go at someone who rightly questions the validity of some rumours.

You've reported a mix or twitter conjecture and personal predictions as far as I can see.

Having said that - this is the right place for all of that so don't let me stop you being Mystic.

Does get under my skin a little when posters argumentatively defend themselves instead of welcoming the discussion.

You say it gets under your skin when postets argumentatively defend themselves, it works both ways some posters are sometimes argumentative in their response to a post instead of simply giving their reasons why they disagree with a post, sometimes they call it fishing, and sometimes they call it banter but at the end of the day it amounts to being argumentative.

I will eat humble pie! When I asked the question directly yesterday, I was told NOT Darikwa. Within seconds, Paul Taylor had posted.

I understood Burnley wouldn't sell to us due to Britt transfer and going to Boro'. Sounds like they always intended to sell Darikwa.

Darikwa has bags of potential. Can play right back / wing back, right midfield or as defender midfielder. Good signing. Someone posted the links to Premier League clubs a couple of years ago before he signed for Burnley.

Does anyone get the feeling MW buying in younger talent to make the more senior players step up?!

Example - I wouldn't have expected Vellios to score 5 goals in pre season, would now be the first player on the team sheet for me. Could this mean, interest in another striker may have cooled?

Certainly worth some thought.
Pisses me off when fans instantly dislike a player, or when they consider them inferior.
Let MW and his team decide who they want and back them, until they show themselves to be a let down.
You can't do that until they've kicked the ball around a few times for us. Give players a chance.
Remember the squad of misfights that BC and PT put together some years back?

Gingerkid - A few weeks ago, MW wanted to offload Vellios. I can't see that now, was the point of my post.

Interesting seeing Paul Taylor's question to MW re; Vellios, still not sure if MW is convinced!?

I'd expect Walker to be given a chance for August and then go on short term loan, meaning we'd be back down to 4, plus Ward.

Vellios was with the Greek squad in Greece, which provoked that rumour.
He wasn't moving back there, people were putting 2 and 2 together because the test of the squad had reported back and he posted a picture in Greece.
So he wasn't being offloaded.
