Well after the past 2 games it's clear we need 2 quality players that are leaders. CB and CDM/ CM. MW probably doesn't know his best side and is giving everyone a fair crack of the whip atm but we need to be able to field a consistent team as that was our downfall last year.

In conditions like tonight it was difficult to draw any conclusions about anyone, but i thought Hobbs played well and Cummings was my MOM, looks a real asset.

I agree that the conditions weren't at all great but there are still some defensive issues, we didn't close the ball down well enough, gave them at times too much time and space to play football and a few individual mistakes. We weren't great in possession at times but that will be more down to the conditions rather than the actual players but even against Millwall possession wasn't great.
Carayol and Cummings were very good tonight. And we created a few good chances.

For me the players that must start from what I have seen so far are: Cummings, Carayol, Vaughan, McKay, Darikwa, Clough, Mancienne, Dowell, Worrall.

Agree re defence, mills woeful and fox not much better, darikwa in, move lichai (? ) to LB and bring in Worrall.

I think lichaj is aweful at lb. Not natural for him. We need to sign a decent young lb. Traore will play if fit but warbo won't play him every game due to his injury record. If you play players out of position at the back they will get found out at this level.

From the look of the team we just need strength and a presence at the back. I'd have Mancienne as an anchorman and get a commanding CB in. The only problem is that EVERYONE wants a commanding centre back.
