Am i missing something? . I cannot understand why arguably our two best defenders (Hobbs and Lichaj) are allowed to leave. Is it the wages?

Although Lichaj is on good wages i do not think they are anywhere near Hobbs wages.

Hobbs is one of top earners at club. Allowed to leave on loan this season. don't know why Lichaj hasn't got a new contract though, I rate him.
