Interesting stat mentioned in the game our squad today was purchased by 5 different managers who bought them for different reasons and to play to play different styles, how many managers have had this defence now I can only see one constant and the same problem.

Yes but Red James, we HAD to get rid of Warburton because we weren’t challenging for promotion. Can’t you see?

On a slightly more serious note - what could realistically have been expected of AK yesterday? He had less than a week to implement a new strategy with a ‘pick n mix’ squad.

apart from Traore that defence was rock solid under Dougie Freedman.

Under Freedman we only had Antonio with any freedom to go forward, the rest had to defend first, then run over acres of the pitch to get close to taking a shot, let alone in the oppositions 6 yard box.

They never troubled us defensively yesterday.
Let's be honest. They hit the bar and scored a goal and that was it.

Unfortunately, there seems to be a desire to play with a defensive midfielder in every game for some unknown reason?

At home against teams who sit back and soak up pressure it would be better to play with two up front and organise the midfield better so we don't get countered.

How's about the midfield hold midfield for a change and the strikers try and kick the ball in the net.

Vaughan is our best player but he shouldn't be! He shouldn't even be playing when were at home!!!!

I wasn't doubting MW sacking but until someone gets a good run in charge it will never change you could have the best manager in the world but without funds how can he shape the squad he wants I just can't see an end to this merry go round

After avoiding relegation on goal difference anyone expecting a promotion challenge have there heads in the clouds

The owners seem to think we should be top six with this squad?
I don't agree unless there is some investment in players or some wheeling and dealing.
Going to be an interesting few weeks till the widow closes.

Under Freedman we defending as a team and I expect Karanka to install that in these players over the coming month but our midfield and forwards under MW didn’t track back enough even our fullbacks would bomb for Arsenal and not get back or get covered. It is one issue I have with Dowell though he is our best player at creating he is awful in any defensive way, McKay, Clough, Walker, Cummings are all poor at times tracking back. Cash and Osbourn make a big difference cause can push forward and have the energy to get back too and also means Vaughan can sit back in Centre too.
Under Monty and MW we didn’t defend as a team and this was difference when Brasil came in for Leeds and Arsenal we were solid as a team defensively and organised to defend as well as attack. Even yesterday we were better and Villa didn’t get many real chances but is still work to do.

What defending did Antonio do, or did you not count him as part of the team? 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁.

How true FF79, no point in pointing to players that have left when they are not playing much at their new clubs because of injuries.

If freedman defence was rock solid ?how come we lost 22 games under him?

Enough of this nonesence, #KarankaOut. There, I said it.

Also - pitching a new show to the BBC next week. “Fawaz’s Bank Balance” stars in an Apprentice style spinoff called “You’re Forest Fired”. Two managers sacked every episode. The sister show called “A club on it’s knees” presented by Dougie Freedman, who as usual, looks soaking wet.

LDN red very droll indeed again another Warburton patriarch rears it’s ugly head.
If you read my posts providing you can
read and I’m not talking about cockney slang I’m behind
Krankie.
I’m certain you are Warburtons twin as you are both spurs fans!
Next week we have a spin off series series of only fools and horses starring LND Red as Rodney and Mark Warburton as Delboy.

Perks, exactly we weren't watertight then and we're not now.
Karankas needs a lot of funds to get us where he wants, some wheeling and dealing to get there.
Owners need to see were not top six, so back him now with at least three new recruits or we will carry on struggling.
