In January 1975 Forest appointed a new manager for a team and club that was in a spiral of decline.

The team had the same points equivalent and matches played as we find ourselves today and with a patched up team we finished 16th on the equivalent of 50 points. It took us 2 seasons to get promotion.

In January 2018 we find ourselves with new owners, investment and new manager having had the most successful transfer window in recent memory.

History tells us to be patient and ignore the detractors who cannot cope with radical change!

We did OK promoting journeymen footballers to the first team then so what can possibly go wrong now?

Onward and Upward!

Red really?
Sir Brian was different class to Karanka,No comparison
He'd already won the equivalent of the premier league and nearly conquered Europe.
Karanka has won promotion to the premier and then they got relegated.
That's clutching at straws mate

And Ohare and McGovern were hardly journeyman they'd won the title for him at derby.
He didn't buy a team full overnight.
He waited till the summer got his best pal back then made a few signings.

FF79. Karanka has NOT bought a full team overnight he has simply strengthened his squad to get us through this season with little outlay or financial risk. He will review again in the summer when we will see more movement in and out as he shapes his squad. We have bought Lolley a good youngish player and brought experienced and combative midfielders (Guedioura and Watson) in on 2 and a half year deals. Kapino has signed for 18 months.

The rest are either on loan til the end of the season (Pantilimon, Figueiredo albeit with a view to a perm, Colback and Tomlin) and then Fuentes and Dejagah have signed short term deals to the end f the season. We may or may not look to extend any of these deals depending on whether they do the biz and we can afford them. So just the 4 permanent signings so far and the rest to have a look at. Hardly buying a whole team is it? Let’s give these players and the manager a chance eh? Something drastic needed changing with regards to the old guard. It’s going to take a bit of time to gel and get up to speed so some patience and perspective is needed imho.

Thing is tap it's better to have an opinion than not one at all.
