Seen critcs of Ben Brereton out in force on some sites. Beyond me why. We are talking about a TEENAGER that is been asked to do the job of an experienced championship striker, playing up top on his own. BB is a long way from the finished article but he will get there for sure imo. Took massive responsability for the penalty and set up Lolley for a great winner. So I would say to the young man, well done keep giving your all for the club and ignore the critics because you have a big future at Forest. One bit of advice though Ben, cut out the diving, your better than that. U REDS.

For most of the time Ben's nearest link to other players is the 4 or 5 opposition defenders, with no sign of support from his own midfield. He has battled well for someone so young

And once he’s better than six goals a season he’ll be gone anyway ! That’s life as a lowly championship team I’m afraid !

If you watch his runs, Brereton makes some great runs and in a team with more quality midfielders with vision and better passing range he would get 5-10 one on one chances a game where as generally he get one or two if any! I think his confidence hasn’t always been there this season but yesterday he put in a great performance and hopefully will get confidence from that. Brereton has huge potential and I still believe if we can bring in the right players next season he could be a 20 goal a season striker for sure. It is out midfield that needs improving. We need a play maker and some more forward thinking box to box players.

Maybe Cashy could be his foil.Or even give Jorge the chance to step up next term. No need to fork out then. Those boys ARE Forest boys.!
