So he's three years older than Eric . He'll be paid much more than Eric . His temperament is more questionable than Eric and he is contracted for two years!!! There must be logic in there somewhere but I am struggling to see it!!!!!

Hutton is probably better than Eric.When you take into account wages and age and his discipline on the field I would describe the difference between them as negligible! It's certainly not a massive step up in my book! Oh and a two year contract to boot!!

Hutton was a hot head in his younger days but if it hadn’t been for that he would have been top top player. At Spurs he was rated so highly and it was only his lack of discipline that held him back. To be fair in the last few seasons h hasn’t had a discipline problem and has looked a decent solid player certainly at championship level. I love Lichij but he is prone to the odd bad mistake. Personally wouldn’t be selling Lichij but would also be happy with Hutton!

There's no probably about it Hutton is better. If we want to move up the table we need better players. I didn't realise you know our budget and his wage demands.
