We are close to agreeing a deal with Newcastle for Jack colback I no he's not everyone's cup of tea but he does a good job protecting the back four with Watson I will be happy if we can pull it off.

What will his wages be? There were times he went missing in games last season, no thanks. The manager clearly rates him so at the end of the day that is all that matters.

I think we will negotiate with Newcastle and they might cover half his wages. This will be a good signing.

I'd sooner us sign Clayton

He looks heavy footed to me, would he soil himself against the better teams in the Championship.

Colback £40k per week free transfer
Clayton £25k per week and £3m fee with 3 years on his contract
I know who I'd sooner have to enable us to buy another player for next season?

Think he's vastly over rated. Rarely passes forward, not particularly physical and is no better than Bridcutt. Not that good at all and if he's on silly wages that just makes it worse. Really think we can do better.

Psycho clough76 spot on about McKay mate 1 good game in 5 if your lucky, he’s that good he wasn’t even an automatic choice at Rangers in 1 of the weakest leagues in Europe if we can get our money back I personally would consider that a result

I like Colback but think 40K is silly for him. We have Watson, Osbourn, Bridcutt all there (and Bouchalakis) and I would give Yates a go certainly pre-season. Leftback and strikers should be more of a priority in my eyes.

Plus he 'wants to leave his options open' so in my opinion we should move on and look elsewhere.
