6 League games into the season and what do these players have in common?

Byram, Dawson, Geddy, Lolley, Soudani, Murphy, Watson, Colback, Grabban

All key players who have picked up injuries and been unavailable for selection.

Hefele and Robinson signed late and not immediately match fit.

And yet AK gets accused of not knowing his best team and not picking certain players in the first 6 games?

Just giving a little balance to those questioning our early results!

Lolley has been available for all matches,so has colback Murphy and Watson.
Cash and Osborn are very fit and cash is scoring and yet he leaves them out,clutching at straws with that one red

The only question I have is picking Watson and colback together constantly, 6 at the back and one up front will win us nothing, and this season's results are the same as last season's

When Cash and Soudani came on as substitutes and won the game for us the next league game Aitor did not play them, they were substitutes. When they both did well as substitutes again Soudani was played in a different position to that which he had been so effective

When Byram was signed we did not see he him even as a substitute for a while.

Lolley came on as a substitute in a game and did well, the next game he was still a substitute.

Murphy scored in a game then Grabban played the next games.

Osborn was put at left back then in a game substitutes were made and Osborn got moved up field to accommodate one of the substitutes and he was more effective, the next game Osborn was back at left back.

Guedioura got injured and Bridcutt got played, after the game Aitor said he had a AMAZING game, the next game he was a substitute.

There is something very wrong in Aitor's thinking when you consider all that.

Red James, can I just heck your definition of 'constantly' playing Watson and Colback together? Does starting 2 of 8 games together this season really qualify as 'constantly'?

I know they played together a bit last season too, but that was a different time.

When Guedioura is fit, he is first choice but he's not fit.

All I have done is listed those players who have been reported as not being fully fit for a starting selection so far this season!
Your responses make my point AK has a strong squad and a number of permutations to work through to establish his best starting 11. Yet some of you are throwing your toys out the pram after 6 League games! Unbelievable.

Redinexile You stated a case as why Aitor can not pick his best 11 and i stated a case that Aitor sees players have a great, or Amazing game then refuses to play them from the start of games.

In order to find your best 11 you need to play players that are in form, but Aitor benches them.

If you consider that is being defensive then i will happily accept that.

Unless you see the fitness stats you cannot just assume AK is benching players because you see them in form for one game of making an impact off the bench?

Cash is the go too guy but then he was under Warbo at the start of last season got overplayed at the start and got injured for weeks. As he is still developing physically I would not be surprised if he is being eased into full fitness early doors so he does not break down again?

Very easy to make snap judgements from the stands especially early in the season when the Championship often throws up teams into the promotion slots after Christmas.

Redinexile When Aitor starts with a certain team then decides to bring a player on for whatever reason, fresh legs, change of tactics, player has a slight knock, and whatever else you can think of and the that player has a real impact then he must start the next game, and in the position in which he made a impact.

If Aitor is worried about over playing him he should still start with him but either change him at the start of the second half, or when Aitor feels he is showing signs of needing to come off.

If Aitor kept his change of players from game to game to a minimum that would help the team to gell better.

If a player has only come on as a sub in the previous game then worrying about over-playing them that is not the reason. It is because the boss has got it wrong and not picked the in-form players.

I think a lot of people on here are defending this boss as they were so keen for him to come to Forest. The truth is that he is not picking the right players at the moment. He may find the right formula and get us promoted but if he carries on picking out of form players we are going nowhere!

I wouldn't have a clue who is better or worse and neither do you, they've only played a handful of freakin games.

Trevor bloody Francis didn't start that well FFS . one of the best players we've ever had - If you'd had your way wed have dumped him 7 games in too.

And by the way, Fulham were in a very similar position to us last year after making many purchasers. Some of you people are going to look a bit silly if AK does pull it around.

I will remind you that he did achieve promotion to the Prep with Middlesorough, so he is clearly not the idiot that some of you are making him out to be.

You have no evidence for all this hearsay, why don't you wait and see where we are at Christmas. then you can start if you have to.
