Well Trickies AK has survived his first 10 games despite all the flak, has only lost 2 league games and had a storming October against the current flavours of the month for promotion.

The Foremoaners still point to his win ratio and the lack of champagne football.

So as we start November the only stat that matters in a promotion challenging season is the points tally.

The average points haul for a play off place is 73. We are currently on course for 75 with a team clearly on the up in terms of keeping it tighter at the back and introducing new players who are adding quality to the side. Jan window to add if required.

As the song goes and AK says "Things can only get better" So sit back and enjoy the AK ride as he is going nowhere!

Onward and Upward.

Oh Redinexile what are you desperately trying to convince yourself of, the points tally for a set of games does not mean we will get that same tally for each set of games for the rest of the season. We have had the odd game where we do not concede to a strong team then concede 2 goals to a weak team. It is just so frustrating 😤 the inconvenience form as well as having sen no improvement in performance, champaign football would be great but i would like to see more games that we play where we deserve the points we get, not some how get them.

You obviously sleepwalked through the past couple of seasons where relegation has been a reality and promotion light years away?

The difference between those seasons and this one is the 💰 money spent, i personally do not expect promotion but for the money spent expect improved performances against so called lesser teams, we will run out of luck eventually with the fighting performances.

I agree PP we won’t get the play off points we will get automatic promotion👍

I'm not joking when I say this. I think automatic is the only thing the owner wants. He asked Karanka what he needed to get promotion and gave it to him.

We have the players to do it. We MUST stop dropping so many points to sides near the bottom. If we do and play Dawson regularly (as that is when we keep clean sheets) then we will finish top two.

PP Just stating facts and I have never been desperate just confident from the day we appointed AK that finally Forest hired a winning manager!

The biggest impediment to getting promotion are the fans who still seem unable to get fully behind the team and give them the vocal backing when games get tough. Too many years of mediocrity have dulled the senses to the point that some of you actually revel in defeat!

So instead of projecting negativity try raising the stadium volume when it goes quiet instead?

I'm not projecting negativity as you say, i'm being sensible, i do not revel in defeat just get annoyed the players do not learn from previous mistakes by taking the opposition too lightly, and not up for a fight. The manager also is trying to keep everyone happy but it does not seem to be working.

I cheer the team on at games but when they can only be bothered to turn up body and mind against the top teams i think is it worth cheering them on when games get tough when they can not be bothered to put any effort in themselves.

When games are are tough i would cheer if the effort was there from the players but too many players hide in the tough games.

Spending a lot of money guarantees nothing- see where Fulham are.

I said that to a work mate that is a Wigan fan they replied, in most of the top leagues around Europe it is the teams that have spent the most that are the most successful.

My original point though was that it should guarantee better performances against so called lesser teams, if spending a lot of money does not work that is down to either the manager or the club bringing in the wrong players, that is then a bad reflection on them, is it not?
