Apparently Gerrard is prepared to block a possible attempt to recall Worrall. Surely he has no power to dictate terms to the parent club. Maybe he should be made to grovel on bended knee for the honour of retaining the services of our employee for a little longer!

That shows Gerrard has as much of a clue about the loan agreement as our manager.
Like you say, if the loan agreement states we can recall him then he has no say in it.
I would say though if we could have recalled him and the manager wanted to it would have happened by now.

I agree LC. Also it will not be long before injuries heal and Tobys ban is served. That would leave MW on the bench again and that would be no good for the lad.

Thought they've paid 1/2 a million for the season and will not pay if he goes back?

Is he holding us to ransom then?

Sgetty, If they have paid a fee for the season and we recall him this early they have every right to want most if not all their money back, so no he is not holding us to ransom.

No I think he's just stating his case and doesn't want to get in a "Quworrall" about it😁😁😁

If it is in the terms we can recall January but not immediately on a full season loan (below)

"55.1.2:any recall clause requiring the early termination of a Standard Loan can only be included in a full Season Standard Loan and this can only be activated during the Winter Transfer Window;"

Sorry to be boring but sometimes we don't have to guess. Not sure why the local paper doesn't report this and leaves us in the dark. Maybe they should hire me for fact checking lol

RedCyclist they could get you in on a season long loan!

Oh, and it looks like they can block recalls based on this rule

"any other early termination of a Standard Loan must be by way of a mutual agreement in writing (including by way of a recall clause within the Standard Loan Agreement)...." blah blah

Red Cyclist. You're Hired.
Mr Taylor and his motley crew spend too much time on twitter to actually do any journalism and report facts!

As for Gerrard he is just playing to the gallery!
As for Worrall the A Team should all be back and fit by January so he is not going to get a game by coming home?
We have a good enough squad to cope with the injuries and beat whoever we face!
Onward & Upward

Haha

I thought I'd posted it. The rules also state that the loan termination has to be mutually agreed. That means they can block it. A bit like the Northern Ireland backstop lol

The backstop is that if we want him he is coming home. The bottom line is that he will not be needed!
Give's the Scouser something to get excited about in Scottish football desert?
