If we are to seriously challenge for top 2 this season we need to drastically sort out our home form.

If you analyse our results we've had three 1-0 wins (all late winners) when the result could quite easily have gone either way.

Also scraped a draw against Brum and millwall who both deserved to beat us on the day.

The only games we dominated were west brom, sheff wed and Ipswich.

Only way I believe to do this is for a change in formation at home, we can't keep playing two holding midfielders. Any thoughts?

Maybe 4-1-4-1 so u getting that extra midfielder up the pitch

I’m an advocate of 4-3-3 but the way we play 2 holding midfielders seems necessary because our full backs to provide width and attacking threat.

Agreed kirkby we need to be scoring more goals at home 3 or 4 nils to improve goal difference it could make a big difference at the end of the season

Blimey apps you don’t want much do you? I’d be happy with a bit more positivity at home and I’m sure we would get a few 3 or 4 nils but I won’t be worried about goal difference yet 😯

We were never going up this season - surely people didn’t really think we would did they?

2star, Why do you say that?
Some have hoped we would go up this season, that has been based on how the club worked in the summers transfer window and how the club has spoken to the media.
Off course if we were not expected to be at least fighting it out to go up why would our owner speak to the players when things were not going as he wanted.

I think we might go up if we can. wait for it. make a couple of stellar signings. BOOM!

But I mean it. We are about as good as Norwich on our day. We can do it this season.

We also already pretty much play with one holding midfielder when we play Geddy alongside Colback at home so not sure how gung ho you want to be.

To say that we did not deserve anything against Brum is the most crass comment I have read, anyone at the game would know we should have been 4 up at half time. If we can get Tobias and Dawson back on the park we will be challenging for a play off place especially if we can add a couple of players in the transfer window and then it’s down to the playoffs and I would back AK to get us through. There is a desire and team spirit that we have not had for many seasons. Long may it continue.

Still scraped a draw against Brum though didn't we, my point still stands we have been average at home most of the season. Maybe it's something I need to accept with karanka, he's never going to set up to blow teams away I suppose

I think we’re looking good , just not promotion material at the moment. My concern is many think we’re good enough and unrealistic expectations are emerging again
