Blackett, Mcdonald, Mings and McLean are the players being targeted as well as another striker. They would all be great additions in my opinion.

Forget Mings. Let West Brom and Villa scrap it out.£80k a week and hardly kicked a ball in a year. Eric Pieters being mooted as part of a swap deal inc Maclean with Osborn going to Stoke. Desperately need a striker too. Austin, Gray, Vydra???

Erik Peiters too is on radar as is a lot of clubs interested in Mings but yes agree these would all be good. Blankett is a young player with a lot of experience having come through ranks at Man U before joining Reading and can play across the back. MacDonald is a complete midfielder and I think with him and Colback sitting in centre it would open up to play Carvalho or two strikers as MacDonald will break up play but also start attacks and still is mobile unlike Watson or Yacob even Pep.
Defo need a leftback as well so if we could sign Blankett plus Mings or Pieters then would have plenty of cover then!
I would be happy with McLean too especially if Osbourn goes but I would like to see another striker come in.
Could be an interested big few days.

I don’t think McDonald is mobile

Is McDonald better than Colback and Yacob ? Question not a statement?

No they haven't got round to that yet,but you can use the drive through.😁😁😁

Hope we can land all 4. I have a sneaky feeling Martin might just fancy getting in Crouchy to give us a different option up front and get on the end of crosses as an impact sub?

Red have you seen the quality of our crosses all season lol

McDonald is definitely a better player although not the box to box midfielder we need. I’m still of the opinion that the best option would be Nick Powell who’s younger and scores more goals than any of those mentioned. Perhaps we have that player in Carvalaho if used in a slightly different role???

If Crouch were 3 years younger then yes for sure but not now. Andy Carroll is available for £2 million and if we could afford his wages and guarantee he stays fit he would be awesome in this division but not going to happen like many other players that are being mentioned.

RIE Crouch would be a good signing.

Injury prone or not I’d defo take a chance on Carroll if he was available

Crouch WOULD get on the end of our crosses. if he sat in the stand!!!

Why do we keep looking at 30 + year olds when we have talented youngsters who will run faster be hungrier and will be less likely to getshed loads of injuries or look at a lower league strikerit worked with Britt who,d I'd have any day of the week

For me Carroll has pinched a living from football for too many years.

Martin is synonymous with players in, and around 30 years of age, so why the surprise 😲

If they produce the goods no one will care what their age is.

They will all be on short contracts to get us up or bail out to comply FFP so if the are better than what we have what's the problem? In 18 months time we should have a few of our own that have stepped up!
