Nice to see Vellios is looking forward to a return home in June.

Would not be surprised to see MON playing him pre season in a 2 up front formation?

He is not the answer as a lone striker but with better service in a 2 his goals per minutes on the pitch was not too shabby so who knows until he's given a go?

After all he is on the books for another year and unlikely to get a better move!

He had a very good pre season one year then hardly got a sniff in the season proper, could history repeat itself.

Trouble is he only scores about four a season and he's done that this season,hes just not a goalscorer and he doesn't hold the ball well either,but as it's the last year of his contract will probably be a world beater😁

I don’t mind Vellios to be honest. Always tries hard and scores good goals albeit not many. He changed the game against Girona preseason last year. He could be the target man in a front 2 to replace Murphy’s ageing legs. Depends what Mr. O’Neill thinks of him.

I seem to remember him scoring 5 in 3 games from the bench pre season then not even considered in the squad from day one.
Other blankers were given the shirt and that was under warburton. He is better than murphy and grabban, both are crocked anyway, but in reality if he has only a year left then pay him off. I liked him but i doubt he will get a fair crack from the fans. I remember he scored a great goal with his first touch coming off the bench at Hull. .

He isn't better than any striker at the club,he's basically awfull,preseason your in about?
Well the Portuguese lads looked world beaters ore season,look how that turned out,never judge anything in pre season games,its just a knock about.

I give him a chance unlike some players he gives 100% and at least as a shot. but fans just like to jump on the band wagon of he's crap because others have said it no player will be good enough we could have Harry Kane up front fans would find a way of moaning as always
