A French right back that Nottingham post have said we are after is to play in the African Nations Cup.

It has therefore been said the club will have to be patient untill he has played his last game in it, and then considers his options.

Should the club stay patient for any player they are after, or after a certain time say you have untill a certain date before we move on.

The reasons i say that are that you need players in as early as possible for pre season training, not just for fitness as playing for his Country will do that but everything else that goes into that training, and the club could lose out on another target that could be more receptive to joining the club.

Stay patient he’s playing in a tournament we can’t have him until he’s finished it anyway.

I admire the players commitment to the team and competition he is playing for. If we had more players focused on their next game instead of their next contract we might just get promoted!

Certainly the right sort of character we need?

Byrams on big wages and is injury prone too risky.

Just go to show the difference in opinions even though I don’t usually agree with LC (does anyone) ultimately it’s the DOF and the manager who will decide who we will try to buy.
Agree with Redtree re Byram. Good but better cheaper and more reliable out there.
Even more pressing is the need for a top quality striker.

My thoughts exactly Red James! I think he's referring to the Algerian guy, can't remember his name but he's number 18 and played last night against the Ivory Coast.
