SSN CONFIRM TODAY:-

Wolves have rejected a bid from Nottingham Forest for forward Bakary Sako.

The League One club turned down the offer from the Reds because it was "nowhere near" their valuation of the player.

How much did we bid?

{Ed034's Note - doesn't say but it is common knowledge Fulham had a bid of £2.5m knocked back, so I would presume between there and £3m

2.) 29 Aug 2013
It will take a bid of £4 million to get Wolves interested. Wolves don't have to sell, and we ain't going to offer £4 million, so let's move on.

3.) 29 Aug 2013
Im guessing it would be around 2. 75m but in installments and wolves will not accept a long term payment. As per the fulham deal! I would believe that if we offered 2.5 million straight up they would accept.

I am pleased because I am not sure Sako is the answer to what we really need. Reid has been outstanding so far, Abdoun is getting match fit and showed enough last night, and from watching Sako in the past he is prone to being pretty lazy. Chase that elusive striker and CM and we will be ok.

4 million for a player currently in division 1 dream on!

6.) 29 Aug 2013
We don't need him there is better players for the stupid price they are asking. keep paying his big wages persons.

7.) 29 Aug 2013
After watching Abdoun pinging the ball around the field last night I honestly feel that this is a possible transfer we don't need, I rate sako highly but the depth and quality in our midfield atm is amazing! We need a striker to add bite and that's it I'd say!

8.) 29 Aug 2013
I agree 4mil is too pricey

9.) 29 Aug 2013
Wolves will take the deadline deal offered by Forest assuming no Premiership club comes in. Sako will move to progress his career rather than spend a season in League 1.

Holloway is desperate for players especially wingers so the chances are he will bite and sign Sako for Palace

Seen him 3 times now don't rate him that highly personally would not go beyond 1.5mil for him (fredred)

Probably because their vaulation is 'nowhere near' what the player is actually worth. Teams are taking the mick with their valuations because they know we have money - I still think as good a player Wilson is, 2.5m is a bit on the high side

Sako cost £3.5 million only a year ago. he had a decent campaign last year in a bad wolves side, he has started well this season and has settled in england well which is always a risk when bringing in forgein players so why is he not worth £4 million now? Wolves don't have to sell for any financial reason but then again every player has his price so of forest want to pay the asking price then so be it let the player talk to forest if he wishes if not then stop unsettling the player!
