Steve Clarke very close to be coming our next manager.
Will get a 3. 5 year deal

1.) 30 Mar 2014
I'd take this. Great coach. COYR

2.) 30 Mar 2014
Good manager for the future good knowledge and knows a lot of people in the game.

3.) 30 Mar 2014
Having reflected on the names mentioned I think Steve Clarke would be my ideal choice, regardless of who has ruled themselves out etc. Great manager, who plays good football and has proven prem experience. Should be our number one choice

Keeno

4.) 30 Mar 2014
Worked at chelsea and liverpool would be a great signing.

5.) 30 Mar 2014
Hope this is true

6.) 30 Mar 2014
Also being reported in several newspapers today that stuart pearce is reconsidering his position.

7.) 30 Mar 2014
I once spoke to psycho on oxford circus underground station in the later days of old calderwoods reign. he said then one day he'd love to come back home.

8.) 30 Mar 2014
No one could ever say being a forest fan is boring could they lol I wouldn't swap being a forest fan for anything you reds!

9.) 30 Mar 2014
Would love Clarke as manager. and would have great contacts with Rodgers at Liverpool and mourinho at Chelsea

10.) 30 Mar 2014
Great coach not sure about him in a management role.

11.) 30 Mar 2014
Stuart Pearce got thrown in at the deep end regarding his managerial career. look at his u21 record, poor isn't it?he's learnt a lot since his forest and man city days.

12.) 30 Mar 2014
I agree. Clarke is a good no 2 but not done enough to prove he is good manager, and not managed at Championship level anyway.

{Ed034's Note - no but he's managed a club similar to ours, inside the premier league

13.) 30 Mar 2014
One question - would Clarke deliver prem football in 12 months? and get promotion from one of the most difficult leagues in Europe? I don't think he would, personally I think billy would have stood a better chance.

14.) 30 Mar 2014
I struggle to comprehend how u can say Clarke has not done enough to prove himself! Very strange comment

Keeno

15.) 30 Mar 2014
Get Nigel Clough in, great manager, good track record would be fantastic for the job

Pedro red

{Ed034's Note - great manager?? Good track record?? If he didn't have his surname he would not even be considered by fans, if you went on those two things

16.) 30 Mar 2014
You say that but he has done wonders at shelf utd look how good they are doing

Pedro red

{Ed034's Note - league one. Any manager can have a good run. Mcclaren has made him look average. Change his surname to smith and then look at his record.

17.) 31 Mar 2014
isn't clarke in the same situation as mackay

{Ed034's Note - yes but it'll be easier to agree a deal for Clarke

18.) 31 Mar 2014
Clarke is a good shout, he is young has prem experience, worked with good players and plays good football. I don't see any comparison with Davies, Clarke is way out in front in football terms. He also has the respect of his peers/fans and interacts well with the press.

Ed - It looks like u hate Nigel Clough - but he's probably got better management credentials and experience than Pearce. Forget the Name - He built a team with no money at Derby and set up a far better youth set up than us which has generated 1st team players and now McClaren is reaping the benefit. He's now taken a grossly underachieving team in Sheff Utd and turned them around in less than 6 months - something several managers before him could not achieve. He's also got a ready made coaching team around him that are ex Forest players. Pearce has failed in league management at more than one club and then taken a part time job at the FA. I would have Clough in a heartbeat.

{Ed034's Note - forget the name and look at what the guy who has taken over from him has done.
What you can't forget is the way clutch disrespected out club and every single one of us fans that ever sang his name.
The guy has no class and I hope never set foot at our great club.
