6.) 03 Apr 2014
So let's start the banter on who will replace him just before Xmas?

7.) 03 Apr 2014
Welcome Home Mr Pearce, I thought you spoke well and with honesty and passion in the press conference. Club LEGEND
Jacko Loyal Red

8.) 03 Apr 2014
Fantastic news. let's give him time and be patient. For now let's get behind gary and the lads and ya never know

9.) 03 Apr 2014
Was there any mention of back room team he is bringing in?

{Ed034's Note - no names

10.) 03 Apr 2014
He came across very well at the press conference :)

11.) 03 Apr 2014
Well I really hope things work out well for Stewpot, the bloke is a total hero to me and many others no doubt. can't blame him for wanting to start in Summer, considering how he was thrown in at the deep end when he was made caretaker manager all those years ago. Taking over now would be a massive burden and Gary is better positioned to do that having been around the squad. I really hope he gets a wise old head to assist.

12.) 03 Apr 2014
Why are certain posters shooting down Stuart Pearce before he has even started? I bet you are too young to remember him as a player, heart and soul of our club. Please don't renew your tickets as why do you bother supporting Forest? I'm over the moon personally, get behind the team and Gary Brazil and stop spouting negative stuff. The old regime has gone, let's look forward to it, and I hope Psycho proves you all wrong who have doubted him and takes us to the next level. Be PROPER supporters, I can't believe half of what's written on here, the comment about Pearce being thick? I'd like to see you say it to his face.

{Ed034's Note - having doubts about a manager doesn't mean you are not a proper supporter. not backing a new manager does though (for me anyway)

13.) 03 Apr 2014
Wasn't impressed with the appointment. Until I heard him speak. :)

Very happy if he can walk the Walk.

welcome home great news well done fawaz

15.) 03 Apr 2014
Hi Ed, don't get me wrong, I'm made up re psycho coming back, maybe we could have some stranglers palying every time we score?
But your comments re real fans, have you honestly backed every single managerial appointment from the outset? Even the megsons of this world?. if so, you're more of a fan than me. I couldn't bring myself to say anything positive about him.

Notorious PB

{Ed034's Note - yes I honestly have, without a doubt.
fans on here will know I cannot stand that little moron non league and would hate to see him at our club, but I wold back him and give him my full support if he became manager. that is what every manager who takes over should have.
you do not need to like or even think a new manager is the right appointment, but he should always get everyones backing and be given a chance

16.) 03 Apr 2014
Welcome back Stuart Pearce. This appoinment I am happy with.

Chappy938

17.) 03 Apr 2014
Glad stuart is back, well chuffed, really hope he chooses his backroom team well.

18.) 03 Apr 2014
Fawaz love his forest connections. Pearce in now, Clough will replace him. Personally happy with either of them.

19.) 03 Apr 2014
Hands up I was not positive about this appointment, but fair play to a very encouraging interview at his press conference. He is a genuine legend and I hope it he has learned enough from his previous roles to get a good team around him so we can move onwards and upwards. All the best Stuart from a doubting Thomas

20.) 03 Apr 2014
Well I for one think this is a great move for Forest, let's have a club united in bringing some pride and passion 2 our great club!

21.) 03 Apr 2014
Have there been any resent news if FAH is still looking for a DOF?

HappySwede

22.) 03 Apr 2014

25.) 03 Apr 2014
The man has Forest in his blood. I really hope he does well. He's a class act.

26.) 03 Apr 2014
Looks like pearciie is on the trail of 2 of his old strikers already

{Ed034's Note - ??

27.) 03 Apr 2014
One from celtic and one from man city on newsnow nottingham forest

28.) 03 Apr 2014
How things change in a couple of weeks. I'm buzzing at the thought of a forest legend from my era as a kid watching forest, steeped in forest history, managing our beloved football club. Not only that, we're going into the run in for the play offs knowing that this no nonsense legend takes over at the end of the season, players coming back from injury and still in with a chance. If that doesn't stir something in the players to achieve, I don't know what will because it encourages me. COYR!

29.) 04 Apr 2014
You know what Ed, I posted the other day about how I thought this was a risky appointment. But the more I think about it the more I feel that this could turn out to be a historical moment in Forests journey. Real potential for this to be the start of something special! Absolutely buzzing!

{Ed034's Note - every appointments risking mate. This is no different but this has got the potential to be something special

A number of people on this site have eluded to the 'other' reasons (other than results) for the sacking of BD. Anyone like to share these reasons? PS I like Pearce and look forward to his tenure but without knowing these other reasons it seems to me that BD has been less than fairly treated!
