I can't help but notice that Antonio isn't really that good of a player but somehow he always pops up with goals and assists lol I would like to see pato replace him but you can't really replace someone who keeps scoring or setting up goals. is it just me or do people agree?

Totally agree, sometimes he looks a right clown but who cares if at some point in a game he comes up with the goods. I worry that with the squad as strong as it is Paterson's development may be hindered.
He was the highlight for me last season

Apart from the cross for Lansbury's goal he didn't have a good game going forward and his first touch was awful. Did some decent work tracking back though and always puts in a shift. Think there is a lot more to come from him.

He has his own style of play, and to be fair he is very good in the air, and has pace. More to the point SP rates him.

He works so hard going forward and defence. Plus if all he does is create the winning goal then I would keep him in. How many assists does he have already.

he runs like the moose!

I agree he looks clumsy. In fact he is clumsy.
I don't think I have quite seen a player like him before. Perversely his clumsy/poor first touch takes him past his opponent - they see the poor touch and as they step in to pinch the ball he is too quick for them and nicks it away and either draws the foul or is away.
He also doesn't look as if he should be good in the air and again looks clumsy and yet he is very strong in the air for someone in his position.
He certainly doesn't look like a goal scorer and yet has four already.
I don't quite know what to make of him myself but I do know that very good players are usually 'different'.
The guy looks like a walking contradiction and I have to say I like him!

He's not the nicest footballer to watch, I think that's why he's deceptive. He had a stinker against Wednesday and a harsh crowd didn't help.
but he's fast strong and direct. And a proper team player

he's unbeatable in the air too. His ability can't really be up for debate tbh because he proves it every match.

Looks like his boots are on the wrong feet.

Very unfair comments about Antonio. He has frightening pace but against Wed especially he knows he is going to get blocked off and fouled every time he tries to set off.

He showed great character on Saturday having being booed at every turn and booked but still kept going to pop up with the telling cross.

And let's not forget, although he looks like he is in his 30's, he is actually still quite young and plenty more years ahead of him. hope to see better from him in terms of beating people for pace and cutting inside and shooting a bit more
