Fawaz has revealed Dougie only on 3 months Contract. Why has he made this public, as there is no advantage to be gained by this??
It can only weaken Dougie's position with the fans, players, etc if they think there is a chance he won't be around long.

Lmao fawas probably offered Doug 12months but dougie said what's point i will be gone in 3. So I take 3 months then I know we're I stand. Hehe.

football is a results bussiness so if df gets results and improves us the owner will be on his side the players will be on his side and most importantly the fans will be on his side its as simple as that. ( if you can read the future in football you will be a very rich person )

3.) 19 Feb 2015
Told you before sack Freedman

4.) 19 Feb 2015
Please tell me what the heck is going on in Fawaz head, just keep Dougie permanent, give the bloke a chance,we need stability, unless Fawaz has Pep Gaurdiola lined up for the summer the mind boggles 😒

5.) 19 Feb 2015
Length of the contract is irrelevant to Dougie Freedman. Out of work, the call comes to manage Nottingham Forest. A squad like that with 3 wins in 24?? Any manager would back himself to better that and increase his stock. Whichever way this goes, Dougie will be better off for it.

6.) 19 Feb 2015
I'm really confused. I HEARD from Dougie's own lips that the contract was 18 months! All this chopping and changing doesn't do us any favours. Who in their right minds would come to us knowing that they won't have time to get the seat warm before they're clearing their desk. Doesn't anyone else DREAM of having the same manager in situ for at least a whole season?

7.) 19 Feb 2015
Same old, same old. Fawaz never learns .

8.) 19 Feb 2015
Suffolk Red: I would happily buy into Dougie Freedman for a couple of seasons, the reality is that fawaz will already be looking for higher profile names to do the impossible & take us up next year. Todays development suggests to me someone has stepped forward. Petrescu, Warburton, Redknapp?? who knows.

9.) 19 Feb 2015
Quite a agree Red Joy,i slated Cannock Forest for his post on the 14Feb(we are a laughing stock)but after the latest statement from Fawaz i am not so sure,i hope Dougie stays,we need stability ,we are all grateful for his saving the club, but a statement like that should have been made at the end of the season, hope he can still motivate the players for Sat.😈

10.) 19 Feb 2015
Lol won't say I didn't tell u so but I did and the merry go round starts again but glad it's only 3 months

After the way Brentford have performed I would take Warburton all day long if DF did leave. Can't see Warburton being a name Fawaz would want. More likely Big Sam if he leaves West Ham however unpopular he has been Warburton for me if chance arises.

12.) 19 Feb 2015
In the first press conference I'm sure John McGovern said it was 18 months, although I seem to remember he hesitated somewhat when pressed.

13.) 19 Feb 2015
Looks like DF was working out his notice from day one then. It does show, however, that FAH is at least getting some idea of the average life expectancy of a Forest manager.

14.) 19 Feb 2015
What planet are you guys on to think that any half decent manager will look at us? We are complete poison .

All that if want is stability.
Does my head in, not knowing from one game to the next who will be the manager.
I was sad to see Pearce go, not to chuffed to see Dougie but he's done nought wrong, so why chuck him out?
If he goes? Why not David Moyes? Before I get blasted, Think about it, humiliated at Utd, wants to manage in England again, made Everton into a proper team with Peanuts and youth and he likes playing proper football.

16.) 19 Feb 2015
Trickie don't want to fall out with you mate . I agree with a lot if what you post. But Moyes? Hahahahaha!!!

17.) 19 Feb 2015
If Freedman does well to the end of the season he will stay if not he will go but that would happen whatever length of contract he had. What length of contract did Pearce have? Didn't protect him.

18.) 19 Feb 2015
@Twf79: That would be true in the normal run of events but you have to factor in that DF has inherited a team on its knees and the short-term nature of his engagement restricts his and, by association, the club's forward planning.

Someone posted a while back that DFs appointment was an 'interruption' to any progress and I berated that in the reasonable but mistaken belief that the club/owner couldn't possibly share that view.

More fool me.
