I reckon we would need 74 - 75 points to include ourselves in the playoffs. That's 20 points out of the last 27. What does everyone else think. Some chance? No chance?

There always a chance when it's still mathematically possible.until the fat lady sings let's keep the good work up.people have moaned about us not going for it in the last ten mins against Leeds but what if we scrape in the playoffs by 1 point, what will there views be then?a point is better than none and it could of gone either way.yes we would of liked the 3 points but the 1 might just be enough.

I reckon its a good away point against a team hitting some decent form

Looking at our remaining fixtures, I'd realistically expect an 18 point return. Mind you, if my predictions meant anything, I'd be in Ladbrokes.

If we remain unbeaten then we will do it. I worry though that the Charlton game will come back to bite us.

The Blackpool game will come back to bite us. Still can't believe that late goal.

I did say a while back that 75-points should be the target.

We can drop 6 more points between now and the end of the season, I've been counting them down :)

Blackpool and Charlton will cost us dear. To drop points to the bottom side is unforgivable in the manner in which we did it.

The teams above us will also drop points to single out any game that'll cost us is plain daft you could say the Leeds game at the CG where the linesman robbed us of a victory another two points dropped or the Brum game (oh dear) or the home loss against flipping Millwall or the winless run of how many games???.

At the end of the day it's nice and pretty amazing to still have a chance of sneaking in the play offs at least we aren't looking over our shoulders at the relegation zone. Bkackburn could push us all the way aswell. I for one will enjoy the run in, if we don't make 6th hey ho another season in the Championship but if we sneak it I'm hoping for a play off final against the sheep with Dex scoring the winner in added on time. My fingers are crossed.

From the middle of september to the end of january we won 3 out of 21 games and some point out the Charlton and Blackpool results as costing us Lol!
Unbelievable Geoff!

@NFFC1: I think you have to look a bit beyond the four points dropped in those two away games. to the 50+ points dropped since mid-September under SP, for example.

Just out of interest, comparing the last two seasons final table points for 6th place have been:
2012/13 = 68 points (1st place = 87)
2013/14 = 72 points (1st place = 102)

Forest currently 54 points remaining max = 27pts Total = 81pts
If we lose 3 out

Or we could blame the small group of players that decided to not give one 100% and went against the management in stead of getting on with there jobs.it all adds up doesn't it.

In response to acan - 68 and 72 points will not be enough to reach the Play-Offs this season. The league isn't as condensed as it has been in previous seasons as there is a bigger gap between the top and bottom clubs.

74/75 points will be the absolute minimum. Could even be a point or two higher than that.
