Mixed opinions on Burnley game. Spot on DF going 442. Taking Ward off though cost us our balance as he was playing well and O Grady never a wide midfielder in any league. DF should think hard before defending Lansbury, constructive critisism never hurt anyone, that tackle was plain stupid just like Mills was. Some discipline is badly needed instead of senseless three match bans at a time like now with so many injuries. can't win with eleven so no chance with ten.

Quite agree redfordian. We can't afford key players being stupid and unprofessional. Brian wouldn't have made excuses for them.

I was gobsmacked he bought O'Grady on the right when we had Burke on the bench. It made no sense at all. Ward had a super game. 11 of his attitude and commitment would be champ winners. The formation was spot on. We just lack that link up between midfield and attack at the moment unfortunately.

Both central midfielders were ten yards too deep and that in turn dropped the centre halfs deeper and deeper affording but let fat too much space in our half. I would also like to see the two centre halfs closing their men down on the ball. All too often they stood off them which caused problems. We thoroughly deserved to win that game in my opinion.

ward had already been booked and was obviously upset by the sending off and getting into the ref's face so, I guess, DF took him off to save us going down to 9 men.

Redfordian, 100% agree with everything you've said mate! For one I've never known Lansbury getting wrongly sent off he's always deserved it. With a bit of luck it's put Dyche off going for him again in January lol but then again I used to watch Dyche play at my local team Chesterfield. As for bringing O'Grady on on the wing he may aswel of bought evtimov on shocking. But KTF

I don't think ward was actually booked, but in any case even if he was treading the tightrope, a more sensible swap was Burke or williams coming on to add some energy and legs surely?
