Skegsjay talks about negative boring football so I just wondered which players, out of the current players available, do we expect should be providing us with the exciting attacking football he craves?

Wilderness the team itself is full of average players like I've said before in my posts but no less average Than the teams above us like Preston Brentford Ipswich there's nothing wrong with the players it's the way he sets the team up to defend and try and Nick a goal that's ok away but when your playing like that at home lol you get all you deserve it's your opinion if you think dougie is doing a good job and mine is as I said from day one probably one of the worse managers forest have ever had.

Obviously if fit, I would like to see Mendes and Burke on the wings running at people. Maybe give the young lad McDonagh a go up front alongside Oli.

Sorry perks but Burke is not available and having watched McDonagh a few times this season he is nowhere near ready for the championship in my opinion. The point of my post was to highlight the problem DF faces. Take yesterday for instance, I'm clueless as to how on earth he's supposed to play this entertaining expansive attacking football that we all crave with the mediocre players he has at his disposal?

{Ed001's Note - he could try coaching them into passing and moving? It does not take world class players to play good football.}

Would be nice for a manager to play the same 11 without pratting around all the time I know you have to take injuries into account but surely by he should know what his strongest 11 are.

Ibelieve/ Wilderbeast. The second part of last season and this you keep droning on about how average our players are (only when we lose though, their obviously above average even by your standards when winning or drawing as the average thing seems to stop at these times) .
The players are capable of stringing a series of results together as shown last season and this. They are no more average than Huddersfield or Bristol City yet both games were lost. Average players or management deficiencies? Is it possible the manager underestimates more lowly opposition and cannot alter tactics accordingly? I know which theory i believe to be true and it ain't the same as you.

Think your right when it comes to managerial tactics or lack of motivation again I don't think he instills that in players, to be honest sick of hearing about ffp, injuries, with the players we've got should be more than capable of beating most sides not all down to df at the end of the day the players, are on the, pitch and should shoulder criticism if its due and like most of if we preformed that badly in our job wed be sacked.

I thought DF was spot on with his pre match interview where he said was trying to get the players to shorten their passing.

He is trying but success doesn't come over night. We have been playing a certain way to build confidence, it has worked! Now we are trying to let the brakes off a little and it isn't working because some of the organisation and discipline we formerly had goes out of the window.

Like I said some weeks ago. Midfield isn't up to the job at the mo.
All hard workers and no flair.
Lots of work to do but it's not all DF's fault? He's trying to build something and sometimes you take a bit of work to get out of the ground.

We have a solid base and need to press on but don't be expecting big changes from Fawaz. DF will be here for the foreseeable.

Our passing has been as good as it has since BD first tenure and whilst were not getting it to the front men we are trying.
Players like Vaughan are thriving. Highest number of tackles in the league. Young lads like Walker are getting a go but are proving it's too early for them.

What else do you want DF to do?
Everytime he says he's going for a win we lose. When we play counter attack we don't.

This season is finished so time to rebuild and make a plan for next season. Think the managers done an excellent job under the circumstances and whilst it's not always pretty you do have to admire some of the work and organisation on the pitch.

I put The poor performance in the last match down to the players knowing they have no chance of getting in the playoffs. Same thing happened last season before we ended up mid table.

I've missed you Fred. Now come on, i'm certainly consistent if nothing else pal. Remember our sparring over Lichaj and Antonio? Win, lose or draw I will always think we have an average squad and yes, so have Huddersfield and Bristol and they beat us. But so have Leeds and we beat them. Put two average teams against each other and anything can happen. At the moment Forest have mostly average players with one or two above average players. Unfortunately the above average players are the ones who are currently injured. I find it laughable when some posters make claims like " we've still got enough quality in our side to win certain games "

Yeh i remember haha.
Here's my take on our team at present
De Vries, Mancienne, Vaughan, Gardner,
Cohen, Ward, Oliveira all well above average. Lichaj slightly above average lol. Mills, jokic, Tesche, Blackstock, Walker all average. Not making a judgement on young Burke yet as too early.
Most of the championship (top 6 down to bottom 6) can boast similar squad levels so for me the deciding factor has to be the management/ coaching staff.
