Interesting stats in the nep, this time last season we had the same points as now but had conceded 4 less goals all this talk of work in progress is wearing thin with me.

It's difficult Red I agree. If we had only 3 more players, a central defender a defensive midfielder and stand-out captain we would be in a very different position - but to get them will take time. I'm sure Mr. McParland is working on it, we must just be patient.

Maybe it's the similar stats as last season but I'm pretty sure where in a better place my personal opinion is if we lose at the weekend where in trouble we've dropped a few points we shouldn't have the biggest one for me was barnsley I sat there and couldn't believe we hadn't even come away with a point because we battered them but same old story couldn't defend and couldn't finish either but that's the way it's been but I'm sure it's wearing thin with fans

being patient is one thing. continuing to lose and play like they have been are two different things. patience and dropping points.means sliding down to were forest hve been in last few seasons. it dont. change the fact. they are not getting any better

We are better. Look at the teams in this league. No easy games now. We play better football than we have in ages. Stats can't tell you that. Yes we need to defend better. that's the most important thing and I think a cb is top of the list in Jan but we are not far away. A couple of results where it goes the right side of the post or in off a defenders backside and we will be fine. Maybe that could start today.

Should goalkeeper and defence not have been a priority in the summer given last season Redfin? We've been talking about defending better since MW walked in the door.What's changed? We concede nearly 2 goals a game.If this is better football you can keep it.The better football needs to be played in the right half of the pitch not across our back 4 all the time.
