The top goal scorer so far in the Championship is a 23 year old Brazilian on loan from a Saudi team. That's some great scouting on Wolves behalf. I'd like to see forest put some serious investment in to their scouting network to give us a real chance of finding some gems. As it stands it would seem that Scotland is the only country we're interested in and precious to that it was who ever Fawaz could find. I just think we're missing a great opportunity and always have.

Great scouting yes, just think what some fans on here would have said had we brought him in from a Saudi team, or does the fact he is Brazilian change everything.

Where did we get Murphy from, where did we get Dowell from, all be it on loan. Where did we get Bridcutt from,ok they are not off our shores,but not from Scotland.

We were after Ronnow, where is he from, not Scotland. Some moaned about Bouchalakis being our owners interference, he is not doing too badly, again not from Scotland.

At the end of the day the further you scout away from Europe the more money you need, you have to make money in order to spend it, you could ask our owner but he would then dump the cost on to the club, why should he do out of the goodness of his heart.

we took a risk on the algerians a couple years ago. pot luck with some. i for one wouldn't be too hopeful on people coming from leagues I've only seen on fifa without rigourous scouting.

I trust in Mcparland!

You are right, if the club is interested in a player they have to be scouted rigorously, Kenny Burns recently said Peter Taylor had someone follow him to horses before we signed him, he also said it was a good job he was only a small time betting man.

The character of a player is just as important as his skill, the Algerians you mentioned are a ideal example of that. McPharland has done very well so far, so some need to have more faith in him to find gems.
