VELIOS
It us apparent that opinion is divided regarding this ghost at the club. Ff79 says maybe he is crap at holding it up. I have seen little composure from brereton in any attacking position that suggests he is any better. Is cummings better than velios? Are we short of experience in leading the line?
Despite all arguments. Warbs has mismanaged this situation as a valuable squad place is being wasted. I still thin, warburton is flawed but do not see mileage in changing manager. We get behind the players and the team. We still have not managed a battling draw and saturday was one of this games where a point would gave exemplified the character of the players. Darikwa back in? Warbs still mskes strange decisions. I just wish he would make a statement re velios as it is tying up a pisition at the club!

Every manager is going to pick the players he wants and the players he picks is always going to make some fans think he is wrong.

The other day someone said based on the form Velios showed in pre season he should have been given a chance to prove himself, then get rid if he blew his chance, i agree with that but there will be other fans that think differently.

No manager is going to get every decision right, and their jobs are on the line if they make too many mistakes, but they have to make decisions based on what they believe in.

The moment they go against their beliefs it is pointless them being in charge. You could say if Warburton never made a mistake he would be the manager of one of the top teams around Europe.

We knew it would take Warburton a while to get all the players he wanted to play the way he wants, and get rid of all the players that will not leave until their contracts are up inspite being told by Warburton that they are not wanted.

We all hoped he would sort things out quicker, and there will always be fans that think every manager has a magic wand and get miffed when they realise he has not.

Inspite of managers getting little time to turn things around Warburton baring us looking like relegation foder should be given the time he needs to turn Forest around, in my opinion.

When young players are given a chance in the first team, mistakes are always going to happen. We just have to hope those mistakes are not too costly.

We all know if Warburton beliefs come up short he will be gone, those who do not like him will get their way if his beliefs do come up short, and if he does manage to turn things around then we are all happy.

There is going to be good crowd at the game tomorrow from what i have read,if we get behind the team while we are there hopefully we will be rewarded with a win, however we get it.

COYR.

Ok so we say not all managers make the right decisions. Ff79 says velios came off the bench and scored agsknst crap teams. So why could ou rcother great strikers not score against the crap teams. Any striker who comes off the bench and scorez 5 in 3 is my striker. Its his shirt to lose. But to not even give him a place on the bench says warbs is weird. So why even play him pre season???? Let the player prove you right or wrong!!!!

So when i stated: The other day someone said based on the form Velios showed in pre season he should have been given a chance to prove himself, then get rid if he blew his chance, i agree with that but there will be other fans that think differently.

That was you?

He did give him a chance against Shrewsbury and to be honest he didn't do well,He's not doing it for the reserves either.
All managers have a tendency to make strange decisions that fans don't understand,I remember seeing ramondo Ponte make one of the best debuts I've seen from a forest player then get frozen out by the great man himself, along with As a Hartford,Gary Megson and the biggest one selling Peter withe, when we had won the league and were going into Europe.
So Warburton ain't the only one to make strange decisions in the eyes of some fans.
He's not flawed he's just made a decision on vellios for whatever reason and stuck to it,and while we might not agree it's his decision to make and he's made it.

The difference is Vellios has played and has a good scoring record last season and in pre-season!

As the point of a striker is to score goals then there is no excuse for not playing him especially when the young pups can hardly hold the ball up when given the chance?

Grey and red i did say that give him a chance if he fails then get rid but getting rid without giving a chance is strange. Why give him a squad number their is the flaw. Back your judgement with conviction.

FF79 has a point. He did play against the Shrews and did nothing. As for comparison to Brereton, I would have ben everyday of the week over Vellios. Young hard working and only going to improve. Future of our club coming through. Too many short sighted people here.

In my opinion, no matter what you think of Velios to give him one game against Shrewsbury and judge him not good enough is harsh to say the least.

A lot of the team played badly against them, and we only just scrapped the win, although any way they win is a good.

Strikers come with different qualities to try get the ball the net, but every striker needs decent service to be effective.

Warburton however will keep his job or be sacked based on results, so he has to go on what he believes is the right players for the team.

Off course others could be right that there is something happening in the background we know nothing about.

Whatever the reason about Velios not getting game time we just have to put our feelings aside and get behind the team when we are at each game.

Don't want to have a go at the lad but what has Brereton done this season to warrant a place in the side?? Sorry but the answer is absolutley note! Velios can score goals and is a big target man so play him and you never know we might get some balls in the box instead of those dreadful short corners. Also Caryol should be in starting eleven.

Probably cause 79 doesn't watch home and away and velious scored at away games it doesn't matter who the opponents are velious is a decent player would have been ideal against Birmingham Saturday has he's quite similar in style to Murphy
