Warburton says Forest need guile to be sucessful. Well I think you could add one or two other things to that, things that make the game winners or us just making up the numbers like on Saturday. Iwould add variation, because any half decent manager knows what Warburton is going to dish up, much of it is go nowhere possession in our own half, seventy percent Saturday I believe, what did it get us, no points but a 2 0 defeat. Allow the players to mix it up, long, short, but be unpredictable. Let Smithy clear long if he chooses, because he looks like he is on the verge of panicking with the so readable short ball he as to play. Another thing you could add to guile and variation his horses for courses or if you like pick a team suited to that weeks opposition. On Saturday as I put in a recent post Caryol and Bouchalakis would surely given us more than McKay, Walker and even Dowell because of the different challenge we knew a Warnock team would bring. But no, he sticks to his stubborn belief that we don't need to change anything, its my way or no way when it needed changing at hlf time or just after. Look what Caryol added, but far to late. Murphy is looking is age now a bit but he looks isolated and would also surely benefit from a partner up front, especially at home, but no, let's remain predictable shall we.

Agreed Retford, I'd have played Carayol instead of McKay and I'd always, always play Wardy if fit especially against aggressive, physical, niggly teams like Cardiff. Also in the absence of Bridcutt I'd have boosted the muscle in midfield by playing Bouchalikis w hose never afraid of putting his foot in. Their 2nd goal we just backed off until he got in range instead of taking one for the team and knocking him over 40 yards out like any Warnock team would do.Warburton is sometimes too much of a gentleman, even Barcelona have their enforcers like Mascherano! Still,it's a young team hopefully they 'll learn the tricks of the trade as soon as possible. The game panned out much as I thought it would so please don't accuse me of hindsight fellow trickies!

Hold on one minute fans are crying out for the manager to keep the same team week in week out now he's doing that your saying he should change the team for the different teams we play lol I bet mw feels like he's banging is head against a brick wall with some fans I'm glad he's stubborn because if he listened to some of the fans on here we would be playing league one football

Well said topred,it becomes a bit irritating when the same thing is said about warbo by the same people,it's like listening to a broken record stuck on repeat.
He's crapp useless no plan b,one dimensional, but they don't want him sacked? Really?
Well that makes sense.

FF79, doesn't that comment work both ways on this site, as we also hear the repetitive lines from those in support of MW. The "moaners" may be sick of seeing the words, be realistic, we are better than last year and we are not being promoted this season. The honest answer is the pro and anti MW both have valid points to make!

But we all know that what ff says is right.lol.
Your right Murdoch it should work both ways let’s see how many teams go up this season playing tippy tappy football in there own half.tippy tappy will get you so far but it’s grinding out results and being hard to beat that gets you places.

Just to clarify,I'm pro Warbo and I think he's doing well bearing in mind,as the chairman says,we 're a club in intensive care after the Fawaz years. I'm not advocating wholesale changes but we couldn't retain Bridcutt for the Cardiff game because he was suspended. Also,as I said I'd always play Ward if fit and especially so against a niggly aggressive team like Cardiff. It's only my opinion of course, and I can see the other point of view, but you can't always keep the same team, that's why you have a talented tightly knit, young, hungry squad like Warbos steadily building,to cater for injuries, suspensions or simple loss of form. The lads are humans not machines.

I would say at least half of our defeats we shouldn't have lost and that's the difference between us and the top six sides because they mix there play up, We are work in progress but like I've said many times before we are predictable on how we play, against big physical sides we need to be set up to combat there play, so other players should be bought in, or they should practice on playing different formations, it's a squad that will get us into the playoffs which I've said before isn't being utilised and that's my opinion,
Against Ipswich I think we might see something different and hopefully it will go well and we get a result, but MW needs to mix it up a bit week in week out, because I think the squad is good enough.
