Warburton has said he wanted another defender to come in the Summer but his wage demands were too high for the club.

The January transfer window is going to be interesting as to who, if anybody we can get rid of, and who comes in.

Fingers crossed the club get the players it needs.

I imagine the brief for January will be the same as before. Younger players, or senior pros that will fit in with our wage structure. I guess a lot will also depend on who we can move on. I suspect Hobbs, Mills, Ward and Vellios are the obvious people.

It will be interesting to see who is put up for a move out of the club.
Hobbs springs to mind but I can't see him going without the remaing 6 months of his substantial contract being paid up.
( I am in the play him camp but clearly that won't be happening ).

I thought that offering Cohen another year as a player was a mistake but his loyalty demands a position within the club structure so I can see him being sorted.

Vellios is clearly unhappy and may go but again I would imagine it to be wage related because if he goes to Greece he will not be getting anywhere near the wages he is on here.

Ward is another candidate and I think Henderson too .

Caryol is a worry becauise I can see him going which is a shame but doesn't seem to start a game.

Controversially I think Clough may get dragged into it as once again he doesn't seem to fit into the managers plans,

Mills and Fox may also be included too.

I am not saying these should stay or go but more trying to read Mr Warburtons thoughts. He has stated he wants to sign 3 or 4 players but on the other hand has also said the CURRENT squad of 26 available first team players is too large for his personal style so the maths would indicate a bit of a culling for want of a better phrase

Creepy 1

I agree about Hobbs, he would not get the wages anywhere else that he gets at Forest.

Who does go depends on what Warburton has said to each player, and just how much each player wants to play regular football.

I would keep Ward, and Clough, i think Clough will get more game time once Dowell goes back to Everton, or moved to a lower Premiership club.

Caryol is a tough one, he would make a good impact player and to start against some teams for a different threat, but his injury record is makes it a difficult decision.

Mills, and Fox need to go, and as for Velios i would like to see him stay but Warburton clearly not rate him, so he needs to go aswell.

I think we must keep a player like Clough. He has class anout him. He will develop into a quality player. Creative which is what we need.
