Good post Redfreddie, agree with all your points. We looked on the verge ofletting the game slip away until Worralls goal with Bolton having twice as many shots as us overall. His goal was against the run of play but it made all the difference against the biggest side I have seen at Forest. All three goals were good but Breretons the pick of the bunch holding off two players and showing a lot of composure to net. Bridcutt gets a lot of stick but I thought that was his best game for Forest but Mancienne again at fault ball watching for their first goal. Awful game but three points is what really matters. Going back to young Ben, just shows what he is capable of when he is played in his correct position.

Mancienne would provide us with the DM role with Bridcutt if we can get 2 quality centre halves and left back in?

The only problem is that's been tried before and to be honest he doesn't look like he wants to play there, went to Burton away last season and he played there and was taken off.
Central defence or not all for me.

I remember Tranmere away in the cup, MM got sent off by an atrocious referee. Played defensive midfield, passing ok but it's the timing of tackles and barking orders where he fails. I like him as a player but a bit of an enigma, bulk up for centre back or wise/speak up for centre mid. A the moment he's neither one thing or the other.

Mancienne doesn't have the speed of thought or any range of passing to play any midfield role.
I too was at and remember Burton away when he played defensive mid and he was total garbage as he has been whenever played there.
