Wonder who is advising Marinakis about the British managers available or approachable? And who advised him on Warburton? Unless somebody somewhere has an input I don't see how he can come to a proper decision, and who will interview anyone?

Isn't Frank Clarke back at the club in some capacity???
Plus if you remember not many were totally happy with mcparlands appointment in the first place. Our chairman has good experience and am sure will have the wisdom to consult with the very best to ensure a solud appointment is made.

I believe It’s Dougie Freedman. Thing is warburton was sacked for criminal use of limited funds and a truly comical defensive record - like laughing stock bad - as if we could ever score four every game with a 34 year old striker on his own up front. If we are to remain competitive in the championship with our limited resources we must surely learn how to defend better - dougie is surely the best advisor on that?

At least we only game him a 1 year contract imagine giving a 34 year old a 3 year contract.

I respect greatly Frank and John but we are appointing a manager and not player. Neither of these two did anything in management so they should not be advising. I would pay someone like a Harry Rednapp who knows the whole football league and who they would predict to be the next Sean Dyche or Eddie Howe and take a chance. Both of these two gents have been advising before and don't fill me full of confidence

Didn't Frank Clark get us promoted from the championship and lead us to 3 Rd in the premier league and the quarter final of the UEFA cup bit more than did nothing in management as you put it and take managerial advice from back hand Harry, pull the other one

Frank did very little for us in the great scheme of things and I can't recall why he gave up with us but then we had the vestiges still of a great side. How we have fallen since. Two semi final playoffs in 20 years. I mentioned a Harry Rednap type of senior manager not himself ie someone who understands what it takes to be a good manager New Warnock is the obvious one. Someone who as good as spotting a player in the lower league is as good at spotting a manager. To me Frank and John cannot because they not have that knowledge
