In many ways i hope we appoint heckinbottom. We are Forest we have no devine right to appoint a big name. We predictably got it wrong with Mark but we are re-inventing ourselves, always have. We are mightily proud of our history thanks to Brian. We are not a BIG club, we are nottingham Forest the club that dared to go where no small ckub dared to go before or since. The excitement of beating the big clubs is in our DNA. So acheiving the unexpected us what we have always been about. Giant slayers with humble ambitions. I would rather have profile with a young visionary than ply the monster of greed with our hard earned!

That sounds great Rutland but your living in fantasy land if you think Heckinbottom is going to be the answer or is going to be given time how many managers in the last ten years if he comes in same as all before and doesn’t get results he will be on his way out by summer that’s the business now so we might as well have a big name manager

Rutland red1, it is not about who or what we are or what we were if we appoint Heckingbottom it is no better than what we have just got rid of, i have no idea who is going to be the next manager but i hope it is somebody who has man management skills and a hunger for success and playing our team in the right position and never give up😈😈😈

A couple of additions in January and we have a decent squad, Warbo just didn't know how to manage them, it's not all doom and gloom, the next coach might be a Heck of managING players and might kick some of them up the Bottoms.

Hasn’t heckingbottom ruled himself out of the job today?

Guys you are missing the point here. When we sacked mclaren sean dyche was available and to a man on here dirision was directed at him being brought in. He ended up at burnley after Steve Howe returned south. Even burnley fans protested. He got them promoted then relegated then promoted agaon and now he is the hottest property in basement management. Spends accordingly but unifies a club. We can make history by sticking to these principles. Difficult to beat winning mentality and vast becoming the ppl's champions. Warburton was a clown in comparrison but good young managers are out there and we must recognise that we are a sleeping giant but within a modest budgett. .

Eddie.
We sacked a manager without any thought on who would be replacing him after mcparland walked.
Gibson on the other hand was underhand and lined someone up first before sacking monk.
Whoes the clever owner?🤔

Totally agree Rutland, just look at Bournemouth and Huddersfield, young energetic Managers and in touch with the modern game, and not huge budgets, it has changed so much in recent years and players are not the same today,

Heck has a 29% win rate since appt as Barnsley manager why on earth would he be a good coach for our club. Every manager appt that fails is negative associated with our club. We have to get it right this time so I hope they are taking their time to get it right and not that we are down to our 5th choice already. If all the ‘names ‘ give us thumbs down then let’s get Paul Cook

Ff who said mcparland walked?iv not seen or heard anything like that, all iv seen is he has left the club but doesn’t say if he left himself or was pushed.did anyone see him get another contract after his ran out at the end of the season?i can’t find anything saying he was offered another contract.he left them warbo got sacked soon after and people were shocked, normally media see this coming but it was as if it was out of the blue!thats not normal.

Trust me he walked
He was under contract given in the summer after we avoided relegation.
It's easy.
Google it.
I was told at half time against Sunderland he had walked and posted it after the game, was I right?

Iv googled it and can’t find where he was given an extension or new contract.you was told he walked and posted that fair do’s but did he actual walk?saying it doesn’t make it the truth.the lack of talk about it makes it seem like there should more to it than is being spoke about.

I'll make it simple for you.
Would you turn up for work everyday without a contract that says you'll be paid?🤔🤔

Doc M
He has won promotion from League 1 at first attempt via play offs
Won a trophy at Wembley in first year at Barnsley
Kept them in Championship after 4 of his best players sold.
Crowds are 1/3 of ours and I presume income even smalle4 than that
Budget for players tiny compared to ours.
Don’t judge him just on his win % that does not tell the full story.
Young good manager working in difficult circumstances

So why wasn’t we told of a new contract for him?we all knew his contract was up in the summer so why no mention af an extension?could you put a link up to the google page you suggested it was on?
You also mention of how we sacked a manager without thought and out of the blue, hasnt it crossed your mind that something may of happened behind the scenes that nobody has mentioned?will it come out later depending on why the lawyers say?its all to quiet about mcparland going then warbo following straight after.

Ff is right though. Sheff wed have replaced their man so must have had an idea who they wanted. We seem to have no idea at all. There doesn't seem to be any forward thinking. And if Mcparland did walk then maybe he just saw it coming after losing at home to Sunderland and those results leading up to it. I think the players lost faith in MW system and Macca saw that and had it away on his toes.

I agree with Demis roussosred we need a good young enterprising management team so send the word to Lincoln that we would like Danny and family at the City Ground. Working with no finance resources they got promotion, had a great cup run and are now third in the league in their first season. With their team building and our talented young squad the sky would be the limit. Our answer is just up the A46 not down a list of sacked losers.

Heckie's agent is haggling with the new owners at Barnsley for a bumper contract which is why Heckie is not ruling himself out of the Forest job.

FF nobody knows why he left?
We can all speculate as to why but until the truth does come we don’t know?
Hovis and his 2 stooges are gone now so forget about them.

The next manager regardless of who it maybe will not suit everyone.
If it’s higginbottom people will say his stats are rubbish, if it’s karanka, Garcia or whoever it is fans won’t be satisfied.

If the manager can get the lads playing,a few wins ands draws here and there than that’s good, next season we will again start from the drawing board.
