It would be nice to see Appiah given a spot on the bench tomorrow. My side would be Smith, Traore, Worrall, Manc, Lichaj, Ward, Bridcutt, Cash, Mckay, Murphy and Brereton in an old fashioned 442. I would leave Dowell out because we need players who are good off the ball as Arsenal will dominate possesion. Wide men to break quick and 2 strikers to cause problems their end.

4-4-2 would be suicidal against Arsenal. Pack the midfield and break at speed.

To be honest I've written the Arsenal game off. We should give players a chance who are fit and have not played, but not risk many of our best players in case of injuries. Staying up is my priority, and I hope it's one of Brazil's. It would be nice to see Vellios brought in from the cold and Ward given a start. Whatever team we field Arsenal Reserves will wallop us because of the tension in the Club, the team, the ground and the fans.

Redfin, Benny a must to play then?😀

Its tough. I was thinking mckay to supply front men. If people took the time to read a post before calling it a joke they would see I was talking about our centre midfield. Benny can supply too but if I had put him in one of his persistent slaggers would have a pop about that. I would like to see Clough in the side but where do you fit him in. And my response to packing the midfield is, with no out ball you would be pinned in your own half for 90 mins against a side with the quality of Arsenal who would play right through you. That is a joke. Grow a pair and have a go at them. They expect us to park the bus and you will be moaning AGAIN.

My point exactly Redfin, Benny before McKay everyday for work rate and he'll protect Traore too. Cash on the right to do the same for Lichaj. Down the middle, you can sort out.👍

You have a good point scouse. My thinking was Mckay being our highest assister. No point having 2 strikers and no quality delivery. Thanks for having a decent debate and not labelling someones opinion a joke because its different to yours. Sometimes I think I won't bother. I played the game at a good level for 15yrs. Some one here really don't have a clue.

Just have to read between the lines sometimes, some only do banter, some only serious. I like to mix it up a little, that's how I like my team to play too.👍

Dowell is amazing off the ball!!! His runs pull players out of position all the time, just a pity our other players don’t see the spaces he creates!!! McKay needs to be dropped has been god awful lately! My team would be;
Smith
Lichij Manc. Worrall. Traoure
Cash Bridcutt Osbourn
Clough. Dowell
Vellios (or Brereton if Vellios is out the picture)

Redfin, who did you play for? The Pork Butchers Sunday X1. ?. Clough used to talk about you!! Ha

I wasn’t calling you a joke, I think McKay’s workrate is a joke! Playing fullback behind him would be awfully difficult as he just stands there when he loses the ball and doesn’t track back at all. He is an idle git!! He is what I call a good 2-0 up player!!

I would like to see Clough given a chance, both as our number 10 and also the older version as manager as he has better credentials than heckingbotham.

Redrascal, is that a 4-3-2-1 formation? Interesting but I would be very surprised if Brazil 'went for it'. I expect a close game, probably try to get a replay for the extra funds. I hope for a 2-1 Forest win, 2 early goals and then backs to the wall, proper heroic Roy of the Rovers type defending. Late goal from Arsenal but too late the City ground willing every ounce of effort from the players. The FA cup, stuff of dreams. Ask Coventry, Notts County and Peterborough.👏👏👏
