Isn,t it time the club made a statement saying No sales from us at this moment in time ,let's see the club pull together and show some intent at last or is it going to be the same owd same owd !
The owner is said to be worth 700 M ,so do we need to sell again?

Doesn’t matter how much he is worth when the god awful ffp is in place.i fully expect a player to be sold to find any new additions,it’s the way it’s going to be.love worrall and his attitude but for £10-12 million would we really miss him?afterall opinions of him have been divided since his involvement in the first team.£10-12million and a loan back might be the best decision.

We create good youth players and sell them on, that's how forest survive. Every player has his price and 10m for Worrall means FFP can be forgotten about and AK has a decent kitty to bring in good reinforcements to improve the team.

We would miss Worrall more than we would BB

Based on Sunday’s performance we’d miss them both - badly

We need to keep them both.

It would ruin the team if they left and take supports back to Darlow/Lascelles position.

This club needs forward momentum and if that means the owner needs to pay some of the clubs debts out of his own pocket then so be it.
He did take them on after all?

I'm not suggesting he should pay for new players . Although he already is because the 2 million a month loss didn't really reduce as far as I'm aware.
It may have reduced with increased gates and TV money but this club still loses a shocking amount of money every month.
I suspect the accounts this year will be a disgrace after Fawaz rinsed the club for the Burke money and left the club with 80 million BANK DEBT.

That is an awfully scary place to be and may mean we simply have to sell.
I dare not think what the interest is on a loan that size, but it is enough to sink most clubs easily.
Thanks Fawaz.

The Britt money will have helped for a short time but we need promotion more now than ever and I believe this is why MW was sacked so efficiently and we moved to get someone decent in who gives us every chance of playoffs.

Big Mario will know what this club costs to run and how long he can afford keep taking that loss.
We are still a club in very real financial crisis.

The question is. How long can Mario afford to support the gamble without having to sell the crown jewels to pay the bills?

Want so long ago the kids weren't good enough, how one game can change some peoples mind?
They've always been good enough, consistency might take a bit longer though.

Guilty as charged FF79, I’ve said it loads because under MW stewardship quite frankly they’ve looked lost. Ill gladly take humble pie until I’m sick, if, under different management and tactics, these boys prosper. I want the best for the club and a productive academy could be our life blood.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised, if the progress of these guys, has stuttered this season. our consistently dire performances and constant leakage of goals, will have led to, loss of confidence- which is the biggest enabler when developing youngsters.

As he's still learning his trade, if he is sold, there is a high chance of him staying on loan for the rest of the season. Could work quite well as we will also get the money upfront, which helps ffp, and may provide small fund for new players.

We don't have a problem with ffp and won't do unless we spend heavily and that won't happen.
If the kids are sold it will be because it suits all parties, you can only keep players if they are happy to stay, contract or not.
It's just a fact of football that if a big club comes in and offers the right fee and wages we can't match ,the player will go.

The kids were our best players under Warburton! It was Warburton who bought Smith and Worrall into the team! Osbourn has probably been the most consistent player over the last few seasons and again was Warburton who pushed Brereton into the team and bought Clough, McKay, Cummings, Dawinkra and got Dowell in on loan, all of whom are under 22.
Apart from Vaughan, Lichij and Assombalonga last season (and maybe Murphy) is all the older players who ex managers bought in before Warburton who have been poor or inconsistent ie Traoure, Manchienne, Mills, Fox, Carayol, Henderson. it wasn’t the kids who messed up for Warburton, Warburton was asking so much of them! Expecting young lads who had not long been playing at this level to try to play like Man City or Barcelona. They have potential and showed it at times (especially in games like QPR when older players were actually playing well too) but it takes time and sadly Forest never have time due to the expectations from the board and our fans. Sometimes you have to play simple football and ugly football (though when your players aren’t good enough to play the passing out tippy tap football too it is ugly!) to win and they need to know which games they can get away with possession football and which to play basic and more direct football like we did on Sunday. That is the coaches job to teach them but Warburton refused to do that.
We must keep our kids, unless we get offers that can not only replace them but replace them for long term, in my eyes we should be asking for 20m for Brereton plus add ins and sell on clause and 13m for Worrall plus add ons as we should look to get a top your replacement or several players as we all know some players come to clubs and don’t work out!
