Was always going to be a tricky game and even more so after Arsenal.
The cup game was a kind of " free go " with I imagine not a lot of pressure on the players.
Today was more bread and butter and we came up lacking against a well set up Villa side who packed the midfield and tries to catch us on the break and try to get corners and free licks around the box.

Inevitably the defensive frailities that have been with us all season led to the Villa goal.

It was a fairly lacklustre performance in general but I think we were crowded out and it was plain to see who was fifth and who was fifteenth although I thoiught Cash was outstanding and our man of the match.

I don't as a rule pass comments on the officiials but we didn't seem to get much from the ref today at all but that in no way affected the result in my honest opinion.

Todays game was a bit of a microcosm of our season so far and hopefully will give the new manager an insight into where he needs to strengthen and possibly we may heve seen some players today wearing the shirt for the last time.

Wolves next and I think a point is well on the cards there.

oops. Funny how we see things. I honestly thought he had a good game today. Seemed to me he was trying to make somethimg happen

Cash was garbage, gives ball away far to easy.
Brereton was in terry and chesters pockets all game.
Mancienne if you watch the game again was our best player.

Alot is needex and a dip in the transfer/loan market needed badly. We are carrying to much hangers on.

I thought cash and Osborn were awful today. If AK does bring players in I think it will be players that see Osborn, cash and maybe clough seeing much less of the starting 11.

Bit harsh he kept plugging away and tried to make things happen against a well organized experienced back four in my opinion he was no better not any worse than all our players 2 day

Cash needs to learn to stay on his feet and stop looking at the ref for a foul every time he runs with the ball?

If he is not strong enough then Darikwa in front of Eric will show him how to drive the team forward?
