I think some fans on here are not getting my point I will be glad to give karanka his 2 and half years and back him all the way to the last day of his contract win lose draw league one football that is exactly what I wanted to do with mw when maranakis took over and said there will be stability 9 months later he turns on the gaffer and so do half the fans no stability again so why is it going to be any different with karanka why should I get my hopes up again about this club being stable and a new manager seeing is contract through when the owners and fans didn't let the last man do it that's all I'm saying and if you don't like what I say tough.

I agree skeggy jay nothing points to most modern clubs giving managers a chance. It's just sad to see our club yet again having to pick up the broken pieces and start again. I hope Karanka succeeds and hopefully we will at least challenge the top 6 in the next couple seasons yes warbo lost the plot regarding team tactics ect but wat happens if we suddenly find ourselves in the bottom 3 and confidence is completely gone and we can't buy a win for luv nor money. Wat saddens me more is the potential we have to produce a half decent squad but I'm sure it will be dismantled if big boys come calling. I reckon Worrall cash and Brereton will all be tempted by bigger and better offers and the worst thing is if they are tempted will probably be put into the under 23's loaned out and maybe not fulfil their obvious potential. With such little game time it would make sense to tie down a regular spot with us for a couple seasons then maybe look at better options if we are still playing around in the championship. For example if Brereton scores a half decent haul for us he will stand a better chance of making it in the premier and I would wish the lad well in the future but if he leaves after only 40 odd games for us with such a lack of experience I can only see him being farmed out left right and centre. Frustrating times indeed but let's pray for a better turnaround in the club's fortunes.

I think the problem was his stubbornness every man and his dog could see things weren't working yet he refused to change things at all just out players out of position it's hard to support fundamental mistakes he talked about fine margins yet nothing fine about it not matter who we played or formation we played against tactics were the same I mean Ben in defence was mind blowing as much as I didn't want to sack another manager it was clear from.the rangers comments before a ball was kicked they were right about MW

think you'll find karankas tactics will be the same,it will be done his way no other plan will come into play,so if you expect us play different formations I think you'll be disappointed.

personally i feel the new manager is the better option to mw. he as experience.im sure that over the next few months the difference in play on the field will show. there is deadwood to be shown the door.a big change for me i never thought any of the previous 4 managers were the right choice. i hope i'm not proved wrong this time because i feel he will turn around the fortunes of nottingham forest.

I also think that Karanka would know exactly how a player being played out of position would feel. They're not going to be happy because its not playing to their strengths, but they're not going to object because they're playing. Warburton perhaps couldn't understand that. He should maybe have listened to Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic Park when it comes to playing the Bens on the wing/left back: "We spent so long thinking about whether we could, we didn't stop to think about whether we should."

Skegs and ff79. in principle you are right. But stop harking on about warburton. He was an idiot, a massive fraud. Hecwas in it for himself and i am sure thingscwill surface over the coming months that may surprise you. karankacwill not get the time either. If he is a good manager and coach and sets up a goid network then he may succeed. But if he fails then he will not get the time. that's life in the money world that is modern football. We need stability but success more imortantly. Our team needs a bif more experience and steel just to survive in this league let alone prosper.
