Fox hasn't got the legs any more, his slowness at left back let Fulham run free down that side, and with Dowell not back often enough to support him he is our weakest link. There's still time for Eric to do a patch up job there with Manc on the right and Worrall and Figuierdo in the middle. We need Bridcutt back as well.

I agree with that. I don’t buy into the castigating of Fox but he’s past it now. I heard Colback could play left back ? If Watson signs that might add the steel. Gutted Dawson didn’t sign because I after Tuesday I never wanted to see mancienne again.

Fox isn't bad cover at centre half and has had some good games but he isn't a left back for sure.I expect a left back to be signed and Tobias Fig will slot in alongside Worrall when he's settled in.If not as 2 star suggests Colback is no stranger to left back and Watson/Guedioura centre mid isn't too shabby.Every confidence in Aitor and the boys moving forward 👌🏼

Dowell should be central behind the front man and not out wide needing to cover the fullback.
No coincidence the goals have dried up since he was moved wide?
Maybe time to give him a rest and play Tomlin behind the striker anyway.

There we go Fred managers playing players out of position or playing them at all.
Ps he's only played 2 games in that position wolves and today.
The goals dried up a while ago,except a two footed pen and a large deflected one.
He's not a team player,You do back heels and fancy flicks when your a top side,not a struggling championship side.

I go on his previous record at Boro. First season took over in a similar league position if not worse and they finished 12th.Followed that up with a playoff final defeat in first full season.As we know they then went up automatic.He has done it from a similar position to where we are now and knows what's required.Deadline day was just the beginning of reshaping the squad and this will continue in the summer.The football won't be the most entertaining but given time he'll get results.
